There are really only two contenders- Hot Dog and Ski School. And the correct answer is Hot Dog. But feel free to defend your wrong answers.

Aspen Extreme deserves a place on the list, but the answer is Ski School.

If you could sneak Hot Tub Time Machine into the category it also deserves a place on the list. If it was on the list I would really have to think about my vote

Of the two listed Hot Dog is clearly the better movie.

80s Shannon Tweed and whoever this is:

But, yeah, I have to give it Better Off Dead. Ski School and Out Cold are sad disappointments.

If it was a cheesy 80's or early 90's movie there was a pretty good chance Dean Cameron was in it.

Another vote for Out Cold. Here's an entrant for a TV category, The Gang Hits the Slopes. It's an Always sunny in philadelphia episode. Awesome parody of the 80s ski movies.
EDIT: looks like bladel beat me to it by a couple minutes. Guessing you were flying United, just rewatched that episode myself on a flight last week!

In 2020, the film "Downhill" was released. It stars Will
Ferrell & Julia Louis-Dreyfus. This is definitely a good
ski movie and deserves our appreciation.

That was one of the worst movies I've seen in a long time, maybe ever.

If Better of Dead isn't in the list, then this poll is invalid. I will ignore all your rules and submit the real best answer, Eddie the Eagle!

Hugh Jackman at his best.

I believe the phase "pivotal in his career" has been used to describe his performance.

Evidently, some of our posters could not understand
the existential meaning of the film: "Downhill" It deals
with the genuine purpose of life.

Better off Dead is a fantastic movie, but it’s not a ski move. It’s ski adjacent.
Hot Tub Time Machine almost qualifies.

OP is a moron. There is only one answer:

Not only is this the best ski movie ever made, it is the best comedy of the 80s and John Cusack’s highest dramatic achievement. I will Fight Bar any jabroni that disagrees.
I will agree that it's the best comedy of the 80's and perhaps Cusack's best work....but it's not a ski movie.
The skiing is just a plot device, not the focus of the movie. Look at the film poster you linked...where do you see skis or snow?

Never heard of either, but in the 90s my roommate and I always threw in Aspen Extreme while waxing our skis after first dusting--it became a 6-year tradition.
