Brands should be at 174 and Assad at 184.
Kennedy can take the shirt IF he gets beat for the 165 spot. If we have all of our guys back, this is the way I see it going and I believe this is our best lineup.

Maybe there is a chance Nelson goes 184 and Kennedy earns the 165 spot and Caliendo goes 174 or vice versa.

Im worried about 133,149,197. as I said if we have our full lineup.

PK doesn’t have a shirt to take as of now. Could earn an Olympic.

PK should be able to place at the open at 74 i'd think, thus getting him an OLY RS.

Edit: Or Caliendo, for that matter.

Maybe he is all business as he should be!
Could very well be.

I get the impression caliendo is wrestling 165 when I listen to his interview on media day and listening to brands but it’s just an impression I get .

Kind of surprised by him just “following” franek around comments but I don’t know these kids at all so whatever .

I’m pulling for PK cause he is a local boy but hard to believe caliendo won’t improve by switching rooms , having more partners etc…

Since Caliendo was brought in, I am still confused by what TnT were planning on for PK?

Similar, eligibility wise, both too big for 157, Gabe on deck to be the 174 for several years ...and suspension only clears up one year(worst case scenario for Kennedy).

Were there rumors of a PK transfer?

We used to brag about our depth.

Now, adding depth is "confusing."

It should NEVER be acceptable for a kid in the room for several years to miss the podium. They got a guy who did and he will either push the starter or do the damn job himself.

It shouldn’t be confusing at all. What are TnT planning for the team is what should be the question, imo.

Your comment above is exactly why I’m prone to saying, “We like our guys.” Some around here seem to like our guys more than they like the idea of actually winning.

If…… If only. That shit gets old, imo.
I'm not justifying anything; I'm merely stating that if PK would have taken the same course the results would have been similar...and the same for Caliendo. I'm not taking away - or downplaying C's AA; I'm merely stating that I think PK taking the same route would have had the same result, and I'm sticking to what I've been saying all along...that PK will win the spot. If C beats him, then C is my guy. I'm for whoever is the better wrestler...and I'm not OK with excuses., For instance, I don't think there's any excuse for PK not AA'ing...completely unacceptable.

How many shots at AA‘ing has PK had so far? Three? (I’m really not sure.)

Why wouldn’t he be? Although he isn’t featured in interviews for Media Day, he’s seated in the background with all the other Hawks.
I believe that he is enrolled. To take an Olympic redshirt year you cannot be enrolled in college so that is not going to happen for PK unless he is not enrolled and meets the qualifications at the US Open.

Well I guess technically 3. He redshirted (20-21) then sat behind the Bull (21-22)(who beat him at an early season open by a point if I recall). Last year (22-23) was his first year as a starter.
Thanks. That’s really only once, imo. I was thinking he had more opportunities up until now.

Not what I meant, at all.
I realize they pursued Nagao and Truax, but Iowa had more pressing needs than 165.

There's probably some master plan and it all works out.

Caliendo and PK are about as close as 2 guys can get wrestling wise.
PK has a little more "grit" in my opinion.
He's not gonna just step aside and hand Caliendo the spot.
He will fight his ass of for it.
It's a good thing we have 2 guys of this caliber going for the same weight.
But, PK has the gambling stuff to deal with, Caliendo does not.

He is currently a full time student so the ORS won't be happening. I have said since Caliendo came that PK should go 174 and Nelson 184 . I think that line up scores the most points at NCAA's

I haven’t seen enough of Caliendo to gauge his level of grit. PK is definitely one tough SOB though. Agreed that these two are about as close as it gets ability wise. Very similar seasons results wise. They both had a signature win and they both lost that rematch at NCAAs. PK vs Amine and Caliendo vs Griffith. I can’t imagine this environment not being something that brings out the best in both of them. Like a Clark/ Gilman situation.
