I agreeHe is currently a full time student so the ORS won't be happening. I have said since Caliendo came that PK should go 174 and Nelson 184 . I think that line up scores the most points at NCAA's

are we sure on the full time student statement comment. He is currently a full time student so the ORS won't be happening. I have said since Caliendo came that PK should go 174 and Nelson 184 . I think that line up scores the most points at NCAA's
I think the right answer is, he has had 1 opportunity to AA.Well I guess technically 3. He redshirted (20-21) then sat behind the Bull (21-22)(who beat him at an early season open by a point if I recall). Last year (22-23) was his first year as a starter.
This is simply factually incorrect. Caliendo didn’t beat anyone at the National tournament that PK couldn’t beat. PK lost to Amine who beat Griffith who beat Caliendo. PK dropped a match to the 4 seed Ramirez who also lost to Griffith. These guys couldn’t be anymore closely matched.Based on what we've seen so far in 3 years, PK doesn't have the stuff to reach the podium. The sooner the staff realized this the better, and now we have a stud at the weight. Not sure why some of you refuse to accept this. We all love Patrick and hope to see him at the top eventually but we can't let hope guide a blue blood program.
PK is a good wrestler. Good enough to start on a championship team. But Caliendo has a higher end skillset that gives him a higher ceiling. He's more athletic and has much better feel finishing attacks. It's Caliendo guys. Even when PK comes back from gambling.
Um, how about one. The Bull wrestled in the 2022 NCAAs and PK wrestled in 2023. This will be his second attempt. How many shots at AA‘ing has PK had so far? Three? (I’m really not sure.)
By the way, I didn't mean for my response to sound standoffish; I actually had to think about it and even double check NCAAs history to ensure I wasn't crazy since PK has seemingly been here forever. How many shots at AA‘ing has PK had so far? Three? (I’m really not sure.)
Amine? That’s PK’s biggest career win? Woof. Guess you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink. PK hasn’t passed my eye test yet and he’s been in the room 3 years. Short arms, not quick. He’d be a bruiser at 57 IMO, just another room guy at 65. Scoreboard would indicate the same being we brought Caliendo in for 165. Don’t have to like hearing it but it’s the truth. This is simply factually incorrect. Caliendo didn’t beat anyone at the National tournament that PK couldn’t beat. Amine is 4, 4, 7 at NCAA's so not exactly a slouch.Amine? That’s PK’s biggest career win? Woof. Guess you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink. Big overreaction. If Caliendo doesn't transfer, PK is one of the better starters on this team (and still could be). He was a deserving 6 seed last year. Had a great year. I think Caliendo is a better prospect, but PK is still capable of placing in a brutal weight.Amine? That’s PK’s biggest career win? Woof. Funny you say that because others on here are wanting him to be at 74. LOL! And FWIW, I'm not arguing against 57...PK always looks like he could give up a few pounds but I don't know if he already drops to get to 65. Anyhow the only thing I'm ever arguing is PK at 74 (don't see it) and Caliendo being being better than PK based on last year's NCAAs. If Cal beats PK for 65 then Cal is our guy, but until then I'm not buying into the Caliendo needs to be our 65 pounder gibberish.Ouch. that's a big far. He's far better than being a room guy. But he's a weight that is insane - COULD AA, but not sure winning a chip will ever be in the cards.
Where we agree? He needs to be at 157.
People aren't just high on Caliendo because he AA'd and PK didn't. He has displayed offense and takedown getting ability against multiple NCAA Champs. And that's after 2 years in NDSU's room, vs PK with 3 years in ours. Still love PK, but frankly I have a hard time seeing him getting a takedown against O'Toole. Caliendo has proven he can do that, and now he's coming into the Hawk room with better partners and coaches.Funny you say that because others on here are wanting him to be at 74. LOL! Watched this match last night and it's the first thought I had. And then he took him down a second time.People aren't just high on Caliendo because he AA'd and PK didn't.
