Who do we see for the Hawks tonight?

I get that Teske hasn’t lit the world on fire since he came to Iowa, but he has made it to the R12 and R16 at NCAA’s. He has already proven to perform better “under the bright lights” than anyone should realistically expect from CS….
Neither are probably top 10 capable. The 2 meets we counted on Teske to win matches he was on paper supposed to win, he didnt. Had to get bailed out by guys at the upper weights, thats disappointing. Everyone says Teske is better but for whatever reason its not apparent. Id rather see Teske tonight and see how he bounces back.

1000x this!

Schriever has had a few matches where he over-performs and gets the board going ga-ga... then goes out and has several poor performances.

He's had ample opportunity to show he can be the guy but doesn't follow through on it.

IMO Teske needs to be the guy and we need to have building to March not swapping starts with CS. These are facts!
Probably more like solid opinions than facts, but does it really matter?

A big part that shouldn't be overlooked is that BOTH have taken injuries that have considerably derailed their improvement rates. I think it is especially apparent in their physical strength in neutral and even on bottom. Much like Assad, they just don't seem physically strong enough to finish takedowns or explode from bottom. That isn't always a pure strength problem, I could be off, but I have seen it enough times to think that may be what has happened to them...

Teske took one shot against Nebby at SS, scored easily, and won the match. The problem is above his shoulders, not below.

In the case of Teske, I think injuries more fell on the side of hindering his development and eventually his confidence. So, I would definitely agree a strong part of it is mental, but there has been too many injuries for part of it not to be physical.

Sorry bro, that is another opinion. You wanna try again?

I don’t understand what’s so difficult. Not everyone actually does “earn” his spot. All it takes is one person not “earning” the spot to make the notion that one has to earn his spot untrue. Once something is not universally true, it is not a fact.

Not to mention how a determination of whether something has been “earned” is already rife with opinion.

Do they still sell tickets outside Carver before the match? I'm curious if tickets will be available in person from scalpers or people trying to sell unused tickets or if buying from online ticket reseller with associated fees is only option? Thanks for any help.
You need tickets? I’ve got four season tickets, but I’m not gonna make it tonight.

I hope we get to see our true freshman 133 Tyler Wells tonight. One of, if not the best MN high school wrestlers ever and has a motor that goes 100 mph all the time. He’s really fun to watch.
Gonna use this as my excuse when teske disappoints tonights

Let me know how I can help. I think I can transfer them with just a cell phone number.

Please elaborate. It’s very easy to give a response like that with zero accountability. If wrong, which I literally even said I could be, you should then be informed enough to give an informative response.
Absolutely nothing to do with Assad being strong enough. A lot of these kids are dealing with injuries nobody on this board knows about. A lot have surgeries for injuries people on this board don’t even know they had. A lot happen in matches that people don’t notice because the kids don’t show it a lot.

I literally said the injuries caused his physical development to be hindered. In fact I have said that many times as being the reason he couldn’t finish his takedowns. I have actually been one of the stronger supporters of Assad.

So we may be getting into semantics, but I NEVER meant to simply call any of the weak. It’s just that injuries have a tendency to hinder development even after someone heals to the point where no one outside the room can pinpoint an injury.
