Honestly don't think Kirk was surprised the Hawks won, do believe the final outcome/butt whipping likely surprised him.
If Urban woke up tomorrow grabbing his nipples through his jacket he wouldn't be anymore surprised than he was on Saturday.
I listened to Urban's post game press conference. It was pretty sobering. I would agree that Urban was likely more stunned.
When it's the worst loss of your career and you're supposedly one of the top two coaches in college football...Urban was shocked like he was in an electric chair on death row!!
He didn't look much better in his Monday presser...probably lack of sleep from Sunday nightmares.
If Urban woke up with his head sewn to the carpet he wouldn't be more surprised.
Follow up question. Who was more stunned, the Iowa fan base or the Ohio State fan base?
I’m guessing Iowa since OSU has suffered a few stompings in the past 12 months where we almost never do that to anyone, let alone OSU.

Probably about equal. Iowa fans thinking we hardly ever beat OSU let alone a good OSU team, but then we knew they were capable especially at Kinnick. OSU thinking, really it’s Iowa. In the end I’ll go with OSU fans were more surprised.
I would agree with this. When you look at how Urban was wandering around the sideline looking like he had no idea what the f*&^ was going on. He looked way out of sorts early in the game and never seemed to be with it. No fire, no ass-chewing. If you didn't know who Urban was you would have thought he was the assistant to the OSU equipment manager rather than their head coach.
I think it's Urban without a doubt......but it didn't take him until after the game to be stunned. He saw it coming much earlier. Watch him on the sideline. I think he knew the wheels had come off in the 3rd Quarter.......I was still on edge.
I also think that Urban knew what this was going to do, or create, with the OSU media. If you listen to his weekly press conference...those guys, this is crisis mode. This is, are you the right coach for this program mode. This is serious shhhstuff for their program.
