Who leads the scoring for the Hawks tonight?

It would be great to see us get the ball inside. We do have a height advantage so why not take advantage?

I hope the entire offense is clicking, if Pete goes off it takes pressure off of other players. That said I can see the bigs running the court and playing some bully ball down low. Pemsl and cook should do well tonite.

Just my opinion but I don't want Jok getting anywhere near 30 unless the team is in big trouble or it somehow comes from the flow of the offense.

Jok is a Senior and has played in 3 NCAA tournaments so what does this really mean to him? This should be a learning opportunity for the younger guys in a one and done scenario. I'd really like to see how they respond and build toward next year.

Jok playing 35 minutes and chucking up contested 3's isn't really going to show me anything.

I'll go with the leading scorers (outside of Jok) as follows:

Cook
J Bo
Pemsl
Moss
Baer

I'd really like to see Baer have a good game and further develop in his role as a team leader.

Moss needs a good game to build his confidence
and gain more minutes on the floor. Coach Fran
usually has Moss on the bench if he misses his
first few shots. Sometimes he disappears in
the 2nd half. If Moss is going to be a starter
next year, then he should begin earning that
role.

Balanced scoring and good defense should move us to the next round!
Hopefully some USD reserve who averages 2 pts. a game doesn't come off the bench and go-off for a career night from 3 against us. This type of scenario has been a thorn in our side and happens when we are expected to win.

All games matter to all kids, maybe more to them than you and I. I want Jok to win out.

Glad I'm not the only one that is angered by this!

The thread is about who will score the most tonite. The team who scores the most wins, right. But I agree with the poster above. We collectively as a team have to keep them from scoring as well. So hopefully Pete gets some steals, stays in front of his man with hands up, and we talk as a team to help out. I do not want to see this team score 80 vs us!

I didn't say it did't matter but in the end no one remembers who played in the 2nd round of the NIT the year before.

Jok has had NCAA experience and success. Gatens did not have that and it was more special for him.
Jok, at this point has proven what he can (score quickly) and cannot (defend) do at this level and garnered All B1G accolades.
If he goes out and forces the action like he has in some games and doesn't defend and we lose, then what did either side gain from it?
I'm not saying I don't want him to play and do well, just saying this team is primed for the future and the future should get the minutes in these situations.
See if Moss can star, let him play through the tribulations. Can Brady be a starter next year? Do Uhl and Kriener fit into our long term plans with what we have coming in next year? Is Dailey going to be able to contribute at this level?

I know we won't get the answers to all of these things but I'd like to see the youngsters get extended minutes with the pressure on the line.

Don't really care as long as we rebound and don't turn the ball over. However, i will say Jok as no way he will get mugged all night as he has in the big ten.

Jok and Moss will lead scorers tonight. Cook and JoBo will do well. Pemsl just needs 7 points to hit 300 this season. I'm hoping we win and everybody plays. I see Kriener doing well tonight.

I don't think he will lead in scoring, but Baer gets a double-double, two or three steals, two or three blocks, and a couple deflections.

Mr. Baer I suspect has been quite displeased with his last outing, and is quite eager to redeem.

Unfortunately 2 early fouls made Baer a non factor again in this game.
