Noticed at the WDM practice, a player with quite long hair who did not wear a number. Slender, Afro-American, who hung around the defensive backs, IIRC. So was that Jalen Embry?

Yep, Solomon Warfield was nursing an injury, so had his pads off and rode the exercise bike for a good amount of time.

KF said after practice Jalen Embry still has some academic requirements to take care of this semester before he can start practicing with them.

Do you honestly think that "Afro-American" is an ok thing to say because you should be aware that it is not.

I'm black and I don't give a #$#$#. Let's move on. It was Warfield for sure, I saw him riding the bike a good amount of the time as Blair said. He was riding with conviction though

.

The player that a lot kept asking about was #32. He looked really good and I'm glad they moved him over to RB.

Aegon, Totally agree about #32 (Derrick Mitchell Jr.). I raved about him in the "DM Practice Observations" thread. I really think he will contribute next year. He runs with attitude and refuses to go down.If he continues to develop as a running back and is able to pick up blitzes etc.he will see the field quite a bit.

Well, I am sorry. Now I know. . I should have used African-American (which I hope is okay), and not shortened it.
I did look Afro-American up just now and the reference (Urban Dictionary) sounds like it once was okay but has fallen into disfavor. I do hope to move on and am glad that I found out who the player was.

Warfield was fully suited when I got there, but had just come off the field and was working with a trainer. He was working on planting one of his feet and making various turns and push-offs. I think it was his left ankle that was the trouble, but couldn't be sure. He seemed to have the most trouble when pushing off laterally.

After he took off the pads and helmet he spent most of the practice working very hard on the bike (as others have stated). I liked that he was still putting in the effort, and the fact that this motion wasn't bothering his ankle leads me to believe that it's not too serious.
