Got other things to do...what that is I don't know but will find something.
This is a craptacular set up. Similar to other years when I didn't watch the play off game. Other times were:
1. Urban Meyer whined enough to prevent Michigan from replaying OSU in the BCS (the real two best teams in college football) so instead Florida gets in. Florida was a good team and happened to win further supporting the "greatness" of the SEC.
2. The Alabama LSU game. These are the two best teams in college football. Period. Full stop. Wait didn't we have this debate that no one wanted to see the OSU- Michigan match up again. Yet somehow the rules that applied in 2006 don't apply now. Nope, SEC is so powerful that no matter what they deserve this match up.
3. Ohio state over Penn state. Conference championships ARE IMPORTANT at least according to the playoff selection criteria. In 2014, TCU/Baylor did not get in because there wasn't one, causing the B12 to create a conference championship. That's part of the selection criteria....until it's not. Apparently your greater body of work is more important despite Penn State beating OSU head to head in the conference championship (2 of the 4 selection criteria).
4. Alabama- Georgia. No way possible am I watching this. Supports an overrated SEC putting two teams in despite the big 10 going 7-1 in bowl games indicating they are the better conference. Conference championships are important (may be, since we can't tell from year to year). Wisconsin goes 10-1 and loses to a good OSU team but they can't qualify because their schedule is too weak. Except current Sagarin ratings show Wisconsin at 46 and Bama at 47. Wait didn't Wiscy play in a conference championship? Doesn't matter because they lost. Isn't playing in one better than sitting home on the sidelines? Apparently not. Bama in. UCF, please we don't even want to go there.
Now the first thing people will respond to this is look at the results. Florida beat OSU proving they should be there or that Bama beat Clemson this year. Yes, these are top 10 teams that can probably beat one another on any given Saturday. The point being is you have to look at the whole season. Give anyone an opportunity to play and things can happen. The real question is do they deserve the opportunity?
