Who Will Watch the CFP Title Game?

Not a troll at all Eternal. I was at Hayden's first game, I just don't have black n gold glasses. You have to admitt this bowl season for the B1G and Iowa has been along time coming.

Well, I didn't mean you were a full time troll. I was just gauging from your comment that "You knew that would get me." Thought it was funny because you did get me! lol. Yeah, this year's B10 bowl record was a long time coming. I said it in another post earlier in the week that "So this is what happens when Iowa doesn't get bumped up in their bowl games against better teams." Meaning, of course, Ohio State and Wisconsin not making the CFP meant Iowa and every other B10 team slid down a spot in the bowl matchups for the B10 and the result was pretty much what it would usually be if the B10 played relatively even (on paper) competition. Was it 2013 or 2014 when unranked Iowa played #17 LSU and still almost won the game? And 2010 when unranked Iowa beat #14 Missouri. And so on. If one of the B10 teams goes to the BCS championship or now the CFP then the bowl setup for the B10 ends up pitting most B10 schools against much better competition--like Iowa in 2016 against Florida, the ranked SEC East champ.

The Alabama Crimson Tide's thrilling 26 to 23 overtime victory on Monday over the Georgia Bulldogs in the college football playoff's national championship game averaged 28.4 million viewers across its MegaCast production on ESPN, ESPN 2 and ESPNU, the network announced on Tuesday.

That's a 13% bump from last year's championship game.
