Why can't we just get a definitive answer?

B/c he has to be accepted into a grad program. Coaches can’t control that.

Close of winter classes - JAN 12th

Okie State Dual - JAN 14th

Martin Luther King Convocation - JAN 15th

Opening day of Classes - JAN 16th

Seems best case scenario hes in for Okie state, but it is cutting it very close for the start of classes, though the winter session will have officially ended by then.

Worst case, he's in for tOSU on Jan 21st.

What's old, the waiting? When second semester starts he can wear the black and gold if he is enrolled. I don't think there's much more to it. You'll have your answer soon enough. But complaining isn't going to help.
With PD 3 it seems there's always something more to it... best bet is to just assume he'll never wrestle in a Hawkeye singlet and if by chance he does eventually it will be a nice bonus.

I'm hoping Oklahoma St dual. If he is in I think we win that dual and I would like a little payback for last year.

Pending a waiver yes.

If he meets the one time transfer rule (which means Nebraska waived him), then no. But this is such a hot ****ing mess because of Iowa Central, who knows.

He went from D1 to IA Central, back to D1. This triggers a waiver requirement for eligibility apparently.

The hot ****ing mess I referred to. So ISU has to clear him? He had a letter he had posted on twitter last spring but he clears his account frequently.

Enlighten us all on the waiver please.
You said, "he went from d1 to ia central to d1." You realize he wrestled at d1 iowa state last year? Like has been said multiple times, once he's accepted (which he has been) and semester resumes he's good to go. It's that simple.

i just wanna know if he can wrestle against oklahoma st on the 14th?

Reading NCAA rules and regs takes a team of lawyers who still most likely will not all agree. I’m not a lawyer so no reason to think I have an answer but,,,,,,as I understand it going from Nebraska to IA Central and then from IA Central was not transferring to or from a D1 institution. Plus IA State dismissed him so his scholarship was no longer active. If all that is actually the case all that would need to take place for Downey to be eligible is:
1) Graduate from a DI institution.
2) Take and get an acceptble score on his GRE
3) Get accepted to a graduate program at Iowa
4) Have our compliance office give their OK.

Of all the above the biggest obstacle could be our compliance office. Pretty sure the first three have been accomplished.

They let Pierre Pierce back. It’s gotta look promising.

You're clueless if you think he is clueless.
Well, i know exactly what the situation is. So call me clueless if it makes you feel better. Information from people in the program is "probably" more reliable than some of you goons digging up nothing. Like many have said, wait a little bit.

Goons? I don't know your source, nor do I even know if I believe you.

Knowing what I know about Multi-Hawk, it says more about you being clueless to call him clueless.
