Depends on the perspective. Not all of them were fighting solely over slavery. Make no mistake, I am pretty confident the right side won. But, it isn’t nearly as black and white as the victor’s history books have made it.

Nope. I even said the right side almost certainly won. I was simply pointing out that to the victor goes the spoils. Essentially the victor frames the narrative throughout all of recorded history. All I am saying is it isn’t nearly as cut and dry as many say. It was NOT good vs. evil like it is often portrayed. If you really study the Civil War from an overall perspective, instead of reading just the equivalent MSNBC or Fox versions, you will see many on the South had legit reasons to fight for what they believed their country was, without slavery being at the center.
With that said, my response solely revolved around calling them “traitors”. No matter your stance on the motivations for the war, they were literally fighting for their country…

As MSU pointed out, " YOU ALL" might want to actually study the CIVIL WAR!!! It certainly was not AMERICAs best time!!! That being said, BOTH side fought VALIANTLY!!!! What is MOST important at the end of the day without digging TWOOOO deep here is. The CONFEDERATE SOLDIERS are recognized same as the UNION SOLDIERS and that is. They were AMERICAN SOLDIERS!!!
