As far as I know, it was just a better job opportunity. He might have also grown tired of the recruiting game in the college ranks.
He was another popular whipping boy, but givin what KF tries to do- run the ball, posses clock - I always thought he was pretty creative. Much better than GD for sure.
People bashed KOK, but on the years when he had to be creative, he delivered. Look at the man in charge for safe conservative play. Last game we had a huge lead, Stanley should have got some decent passing plays, instead hand off after hand off. All but guaranteeing a turnover on downs. If you don't give the kids a chance to play to win, it sucks the wind out of them.
