Why is baseball the worst officiated sport?

Baseball is just due to the number of plays. Every pitch, every ball in play, every foul ball, and other nuances such as balks, time clock now, interference, etc. Baseball umps just have far more calls, most are judgment call, and it’s compounded by way more games than other sports.

I don't think it's the number of possible calls that's the issue. The NBA, for example, is 48 minutes where play is going on the entire 48 minutes. There is a possibility of a call almost non stop in the half court. Many times not making a call is a judgement by the official.

The issue with baseball is balls and strikes are really hard to get right in modern times. Did that 96mph sinker catch the zone or not? Was that 98mph tailing fastball inside or a strike?

And it's worse when incompetent buffoons like Angel Hernandez are calling those pitches. That's why I want the auto ball/strike calls instead of humans. Leave the calls on the field the same.

Props to this one

Reyburn was ranked 75th of 92 umpires during the regular season.

It'd be more interesting if they showed how they score on good/bad calls.
They could all be 99th percentile in getting things right, and someone still has to be last among them.
