I thought it was so you could have a go to topic when current events were slow.
Yeah, but it's only a go-to topic because it's perpetually pregnant with possibilities.
When a person is virulently anti gay, libs love to say that person must be secretly gay. With as much as you bash religion, you must be hearing that small voice to repent and this is way of trying to stop that.
This is conflicting I think.
1. WWJD is a Liberal (you wouldn't argue that would you WWJD?)
2. WWJD is anti-religion (argue the semantics if you like)
3. Responsibility for one's actions is much more a conservative ideal than a liberal ideal.
4. Is that Obama with Satan on his shoulder?? Or Marco Rubio? The lighting is odd.
I can't make sense of it all, so I'm moving on to another thread.

1. I'm a pragmatic left libertarian who also answers to liberal most of the time (that's the pragmatic part).
2. Yes. For the most part.
3. This is the conservative claim but it isn't born out by the facts - corporate welfare, dumping wastes, bankruptcy laws, vulture capitalism, rampant market manipulation, and so on. Everybody wants everybody else to be responsible. Everyone claims they are responsible. But start taking away the perks and people all over start whining.
Take an "unplanned, unwanted pregnancy" as one of responsibility's top hits. Cons think the woman should be responsible for her mistake and carry to term. Libs think she should be responsible for her mistake and either carry to term or get an abortion. The difference is that cons want laws to prevent one of those ways of exercising responsibility.
We need it because if we didn't have it what else would WWJD start a thread about? He's be lost. Better to have him channel his religious bigotry through words rather than action.
The devil or lucifer was a fallen angel just like jesus was, in fact they were brothers. The original star wars tells the story. Fallen from above as in ufo stuff. One became good,one became evil. We need star wars and movies for the same reason we need religion
You are correct just like societies are mixed bags made of good and bad people. Religions are made up of people so you will have some of each.
You have people like WWJD on the one hand defining what it is in a negative sense, then you have people like Deace or Pat Robertson who define it in another negative sense. Well, those two don't speak for me.
Glad you cleared that up. We were all wondering whether I spoke for you or Pat Robertson spoke for you.
Perhaps you should speak for yourself.
I do. I do it all the time. You try to lump it all together, which is just as big a straw man and as much BS as Pat Robertson spouts.
