Please explain how you possibly think Kris would transfer? This makes no sense, I'd say any other player has a higher transfer % after this year outside of Pmac than Kris. Our fans are the most over-reactionary people I've ever seen. He doesn't get enough PT in one game to some, and he's going to transfer.
Don't get all excited now. I never said he was going to transfer. I said it wouldn't shock me. He most likely stays, but anything is possible in today's game and I and some others gave you some reasons to consider as to why Kris might move on. The fact that people still believe something is impossible when it happened twice at Iowa just last year alone seems kinda crazy. I'll make you the same offer I made that other dude. I will bet you $100 that Kris moves on after this year. You give me $1000 if I win. That's 10-1 odds. If you are convinced today that there is absolutely no way Kris leaves then you should take the bet. How's that?
Does “moving on” include going pro? Because that’s the only way Kris isn’t coming back to Iowa next year… especially after he’s seen what his brother is doing/has done in Fran’s system, his family’s ties to the university, and basically a guaranteed starting spot at the 4 (with really nobody backing him up unless Rebraca starts playing some 4) + being the best player on the team aside from maybe Toussaint if he continues to get better

Kris is probably close to 50/50. There is no “showcasing “ next year. That’s not how the NBA works. If you don’t think he is now on the radar of NBA scouts, you’re delusional. He won’t be a lottery pick and most likely not a first rounder, but leaving after this season is as good a business decision as staying another year in college. His talent will show out, and the NBA doesn’t like 24 year old rookies.
If only the head coach of this team could figure out how to get 2 NBA talents on the court for most of the game, this could be a memorable season for Iowa.

Well then I wouldn’t take the bet, because that could very feasibly happen if he goes through the pre-draft process and is told that a team will take him if he’s available in the second round or undrafted. The measurables are there just like his brother with small samples of high production

If Jack stays in school he's not going anywhere. Look at the success Luka has had this year. Jack knows he'll slide right into that role and he'll get all the opportunities he needs to showcase himself. And they should be a better team overall next year.
And then he left for Xavier. Who knows why Jack really left, but what would you have placed those odds at before you heard he was leaving? Probably not very high. Probably about where you're saying the odds of Kris leaving are right now. Same with CJ. Everyone expressed shock and rage upon finding out that he was leaving. He was going to be THE guy this year with JBo leaving. Remember that?
As I said before, he probably won't transfer anywhere and the odds are probably as low as they are with any player, but to say it's a certainty he returns is silly, especially given recent history.

Probably not, but I could have gotten similar odds on Nunge and CJ last year so...
Nunge and CJ's dads didn't play for Iowa. Nor did they grow up 20 minutes from Iowa City. I think that's a huge difference.
Nunge’s a really unique case and CJ was a two year starter that basically got benched during the tournament. If anything, I think that Kris will play above his season average in minutes in whatever our last game of the season is. Fran would have to do something really odd to royally piss off the Murray family for Kris to peace

True. Lots of similarities too though. I think Luka was Nunge's best friend on the team and he was moving on to the NBA. Keegan is Kris' best friend on the team and he's probably moving on to the NBA. Nunge was a talented player that struggled to crack the starting lineup but was assured of a more prominent role after Luka left. Kris is a very talented player that is struggling to crack the starting lineup but is assured of a more prominent role next year. I know that Jack's move was described as a desire to move closer to home but there were closer places than Xavier which is still 3 and a half hours away from where he grew up. It's possible that Jack didn't feel very good about how he was utilized when healthy or no longer felt like he had a good relationship with Fran. I don't know all of the factors that played into CJ and Nunge leaving. I'm guessing nobody really knows except for CJ and Nunge. All we know for sure is that both of them had other opportunities at prestigious programs and both jumped. I love following and watching the Hawks so I hope Kris is around next year. I don't know the Murrays at all so I don't know how they are feeling about things and I'm guessing the odds of Kris leaving are low, but at 20 to 1, that's not a bad place to land if he does.

Nunge had frustrating reoccurrence of injuries. He wanted to have support systems closer to home if he was injured again.

Let's not forget that Jack's father passed away last year as well. Can't blame him one bit for wanting to be closer to home.
Wasn't CJ injured? He was almost all of February into March. And he did play 30 and 31 minutes in the last game of the regular season against WI and the first B1G tournament game against WI. He was down to 22 min in the last game against IL but he was only 2-5, no 3 pt shots, and pretty much disappeared. He played 32 minutes against GCU,only scored 7 pts. And against OR, he played 13 minutes and was scoreless (0-3). Given his recurring injury issues and the very quick turnaround, I’ll assume he was injured on that one.
Point being that the only person who sat CJ was CJ. He was heavily relied upon but he did not or could not come through for Iowa many times when it counted. Kris has come through big time for Iowa and will get his minutes.
Jack's a class guy. I'm sure this all factored into his decision. That said, there are more than a half dozen schools that are closer to home than Xavier so distance wasn't everything. Jack could have gone to a lot of places with his skillset. Evansville is in the same town basically and Indiana, Indiana State, Louisville, Bowling Green and even Vanderbilt are significantly closer. You're not really going to be spending much more time with family 3.5 hours away anymore than 6 hours away. Holidays and breaks. That's just a fact, Jack. 😊
He's comparing IC to Xavier. Not those other schools, and the take is that he moved closer to home, which he did. It's apparent you can't admit you're wrong, even with Jack's own words.

You're afraid to answer anything. The implication of Kris transferring is pretty clearly in relation to the last two games, by jonesy. He played great against Indiana and got rewarded with lots of minutes. He played not so great against Minny and got sat. In fact, I'd go so far as to say, he had a bad game. Go look at the game logs for the last month. Kris's minutes are shortened in games he isn't playing well and Rebraca is (Minny, MD, SELA, WIU). His minutes are fair, I'm sure even his dad would agree. If during your coaching days you continued to play the guy who wasn't having a good game, well it could also be the reason you are on this message board.
Worked up? I'm just making fun of your silly take of Kris transferring. Jack is literally quoted as saying he wanted to play closer to home. You're laying an argument that there are other places closer to home, which really has nothing to do with why he left. He left to play closer to home, and did. What do you think you are correct about? Could you lay out one specific thing he said that wasn't related to location on his transfer?
