Cook really worries for me this game. We all know that he can throw a bowling ball through a straw, so if Iowa doesn't get any pressure on him that is all she wrote folks. Thoughts?

Cook is very good. More than likely he will get his yards. I think the King vs Burbridge matchup is crucial. Burbridge and Jourdan Lewis went after earlier this year. Burbridge won his a fair of the battles. If King wins the majority of the time can Shelton and Mac Kings get open? We also have solid tight ends in Lyles and Price.

I agree, this doom & gloom schtick is getting old......

Cook is great, obviously, but his shoulder isn't at 100%, very well may be by this weekend but I'm guessing he won't be throwing bombs downfield all the time. He will take his shots no doubt, but guessing he stays mid range and closer.

Anyways, just freaking stop.....Michigan State is very good, but they aren't the 2nd coming of the '85 Bears for Godsakes....

the problem with iowa is on offense and it is the lack of receivers and tight ends, 0-9 on third down conversions

It's not just Cook ... Michigan State has a large complement of dangerous receiving targets as well. That is what makes defending Michigan State's aerial assault so difficult to defend. Furthermore, Michigan State does have a talented OL ... and they're finally pretty healthy. Thus, their running game is finally finding some traction too. Iowa's D will definitely have their hands full.

For the year Iowa is 3rd in the B1G in 3rd down conversions.

I was just going to say the same thing.

Lack of Tight Ends??? I believe our leading TD Receiver on the team is ONE of our TE's...... PLUS you're looking only at the Nebraska game as far as 3rd Down Conversions go. Horrible weather conditions and conservative play calling because of that led to the lack of conversions. Come Saturday night they'll be playing in a dome and I have a feeling you'll see a MUCH better conversion rate.

Go Hawks!!!

I know but they haven't played anybody on the year. the fact that cj has been good without any dallas clarks or chandlers or meiers or something, or djk, is remarkable
Are you lonely? You appear to be an attention whore. Posting BS so people will respond. I am sorry your mommy did not give you more love when you were growing up. There are a number of football teams in the state of TX. Maybe you should spend more time following them.

From a Spartan perspective, I think you guys have it about right regarding Cook. He is usually very accurate and has tons of confidence, even after making a mistake. He plays his best in big games or when playing from behind. I also agree that his shoulder will limit what he can do downfield.

STUFF YOU PROBABLY DON'T CARE ABOUT: FYI, Burbridge had 9 catches for 132 yards with Jordan Lewis "covering" him. Lewis is good, but he's not the Jim Thorpe candidate that UM fans think he is. For comparison, when Darqueze Dennard DID win the Thorpe award, he gave up 127 yards ON THE SEASON, allowing < 1 yard per ATTEMPT (the only other player to match that stat is Deion Sanders).

Chicago Bears fans will take Cook over Ditka every time when asked to choose.

Tim Tebow will break his vow of abstinence for Cook.

Al Sharpton will fight for Cooks civil rights.

If Cook says a billion Chinese people are wrong about something, anything actually, he's correct.

Connor Cook is one of the most courageous gay / trans men I've ever seen. Fighting his desire to wear a scarf with his uniform or rainbow socks is well, just courageous. When Constance comes out...it will be a big party.

Connor Cook once brought a knife to a gun fight just to even the odds.

Connor Cook's sweat is being studied as a possible cure for cancer.

Mosquitos refuse to bite him - purely out of respect.
Michigan state is clearly better and I think we should forfeit. They have NFL all pro caller players at every position, receivers lie Calvin Johnson 1-6, running backs like adrian Peterson, the best line ever assembled and Connor cook makes Tom Brady look like Johnny Manziel. He'll throw 10 touchdowns against Iowa while kissing babies in the stands.
Jesus get a grip people, especially you ignorant Spartan fans. Cook is good but he's had his struggles at times too. There's no superstar playmakers on Michigan state and their linemen are blew collar just like ours. This is gonna be a good physical big ten football game. I think Iowa needs to man up on the outside, force throws down the field, and be creative with how they bring pressure. I like the matchup for us and I like that no one is giving Iowa much of a chance this week. People are ignorant of what Iowa is and can do, and we're gonna piss of the national media even more by beating the almighty Connor cook and crashing the football playoff party.
There's no reason Iowa fans should lack confidence this week. Sparty is good and to be respected, bit they're also very beatable.

I heard he is 7 ft tall and come gameday he will consume our defense with fireballs from his eyes and lightning bolts from his ass.
