If you consider his full body of work? Digging down deep to the X's and O's of his decisive strategy and clutch use of timeouts, I think he has created something pretty special.

I hope you are still drunk when you wrote this. Fran might have been in the discussion in late January, but I would put him far below Gard and Crean at this point and I might he give Izzo, Matta, Painter and Chambers more votes than Fran at this point. Even the Michigan coach is probably more deserving than Fran at this point. When you cannot coach during the game, cannot stop your team from crashing on multiple occasions and are not able to motivate and inspire your team, you don't deserve COY

At this point the Wisconsin coach has moved a head of him and after last night Crean has too and thats just out of the B1G.

No chance. But actually, the overall record is better than was expected at the start of the year. How we arrived at that record is the thing that is most troubling, with all the close loses and collapse at the end of the season.

We still do have the opportunity to right the ship in the tourneys. Go Hawks.

ha ha that is funny...he won't even be mentioned nor should he, he is a crappy coach

At this pace he'll be lucky to win coach of the team
Not even in the conversation......would really like to see some of his assistance retire or get replaced, Fran needs to shake things up and now is the time to say goodbye to Dillard and Speraw and maybe find Francis a head coaching gig. Craping our pants 2 years out of the last 3 is not a coincidence, it's Iowa's identity. It needs to be addressed and not shoved under a rug, totally unacceptable and brutal for a fan base that deserves better.....

Was just kidding. No chance he gets canned and no way he should. He's brought the program a long way back, but still has some work to do. Would be nice to bring our program to another level but I guess making the tournament most years and winning a tournament game occasionally is pretty good at Iowa.
