Will we see a variation or pump fake on the flare/screen to Meerkat?

This has become a staple play by Iowa and CJB, the side flare/screen to Meerkat, essentially a passing play that is a running play that requires great timing. It's on film a lot, I wonder if we have it somewhere to pump fake that baby and throw long to the other side?

I still remember people screaming on Rivals for months/years about pump faking the jailbreak screen many years ago and sure enough, KOK listened and about 3 guys were open for a TD vs. Wisky!

Love this idea - how cool would it be for Iowa's first offensive play to be a pump fake to MVB on the flare screen and then CJ throws a bomb to Jay Scheel on a Go route for a TD on his very first catch as a Hawk - twitter would explode.

Has this play essentially replaced the "bubble/tunnel" screen under O'Keefe? Don't recall as many of these the last several years, maybe this is the Greg Davis version. The throw is harder than it looks, horizontal pass, hitting in stride, etc.

I'd equate it to shooting a basketball from the side at about 8 feet out, looks easy but it seems you miss more than you make, CJ has been spot on with these throws, I'm ready for the boom!
