I’m surprised there wasn’t a thread started about this last week. Iowa opened at 6.5 and has been bet up to 7.5.
Hold your horses.Eh, I don't pay much attention to betting. But that sounds pretty close to what we should expect this season. A lot of question marks on both sides of the ball. How will the offense look with Gronowski at the helm? What will Lester do in his season season? Who's going to fill the gaps left behind on the OLine? Will our D's secondary issue be resolved? Will Iose start? Will we finally have the pass rusher we desperately need? So on and so forth. If Mark gives us a competent, dare I say even a dangerous passing attack, then I can definitely see above 7 wins.
Revisiting the schedule, I think winning the first 4 games would be really beneficial before we play Indiana then heading to Wisconsin. Simply having that momentum would be a big boon. We should be favored 3 out of the first 4. If we're undefeated with Penn State coming to town, I'd be willing to bet that will be a night game. Can you imagine Oregon coming to Kinnick to play an undefeated Iowa a few weeks later?
QB is the most important position in all of sports. It will all depend on the QB.We lost 45% of our offensive production and don’t remember % of points in KJ
I feel it’ll be a struggle to make up those points no matter the schedule
All 3 linebackers will be new and Sea Bass gone as well. Not optimistic.
Another damaged QB.
Questionable OLine.
Capt Fossil is still calling the shots.
Probably what you said before the last several seasons Iowa has won 8,9,10 gamesNot optimistic.

Oooh, that brings up another interesting question: will we break the losing streak against ranked opponents? I say yes.Lester and Gronowski are gonna be awesome. The Hawkeyes will beat one of the three CFP teams that come to Kinnick.
i predicted 10 this last year.Probably what you said before the last several seasons Iowa has won 8,9,10 games
Even though they were diminished, I will say I thoroughly enjoyed the butt kicking laid on Washington last fall.Lester and Gronowski are gonna be awesome. The Hawkeyes will beat one of the three CFP teams that come to Kinnick.
Notice I specified the Offense.Probably what you said before the last several seasons Iowa has won 8,9,10 games
no one thinks your captain fossil jokes are funny if you haven't noticedNot optimistic.

How much money you giving in this world of the highest bidder for talent? Not optimistic.

Actually your first and fourth lines were not specific to the offense.Notice I specified the Offense.
Phil & LeVar got us the significant win totals.
Some say we got the wins in spite of KFAnd it's KF's team. He got the Hawks those wins
Oh, I am aware of the amount of idiots out thereSome say we got the wins in spite of KF
SOS will be somewhere around 75. Should be able to eeek out five wins. That's sounds a lot higher than the 3 wins people have been trying to shove down our throats.
If Iowa can get an uptick on defense it will be a strong team.
I'm a basketball guy, but I honestly can't wait to hear those pads popping. Iowa football is truly special
We got those seasons in spite of our offense. Some say we got the wins in spite of KF
I would be interested to hear Beth’s first state of the union. Fan apathy is at - or very near - all time highs. Apathy is the death knell of programs.SOS will be somewhere around 75. Should be able to eeek out five wins.
2D Is spot on with the first sentence. Those experts had Kansas cutting down the nets in late March in basketball. Look at them nowEh, I don't pay much attention to betting. 4-1 on the road We will beat debby .... As always. We matchup ok vs everyone but PSU and Ducks
Both come to Kinnick, hopefully at nite.
Good home slate w PSU, OR , Minny, IU and MSU in league play.
Road slate manageable w NW, RU, USC and Neb....2-2 very likely.
5-2 at home, 3-2 on road..gonna be tight to get to 8.
Yep! 30-22-34-1 on the road We will beat debby .... As always.
You strike me as someone with a Starter jacket and a VCR.Yep! 30-22-3
If the Oline continues to be good to above avg in the run game then we have some very solid RBacks who can break big runs and get TDs. What everyone is quessing about is whether the passing game can take another leap. Remember in 2023 we had hardly any games with 100+ yards passing. That number improved as did the avg passing yards per game. But the passing game will be better if we have the range of passing yards being consistently between 150-200 yds per game. That gets the hawks in a balanced offense situation with passing on any down at any time.We lost 45% of our offensive production and don’t remember % of points in KJ
I feel it’ll be a struggle to make up those points no matter the schedule
7.5 is KF's favorite number, that's why the number has changedI’m surprised there wasn’t a thread started about this last week. Iowa opened at 6.5 and has been bet up to 7.5.

Except for the shortened covid year, you have to go back to 2014 for a season in which KF did not exceed 7 wins.7.5 is KF's favorite number, that's why the number has changed![]()
Iowa won't win another championship until you stop being optimistic. That's sounds a lot higher than the 3 wins people have been trying to shove down our throats.
