Conference got 3 teams in Sweet Sixteen. But unless Hoosiers can do something, not a real impressive showing.
Wisconsin got away with an obvious travel down the stretch....guy kept pump faking and moving his feet. No call..then he made the basket.Lollll wiscy gets hosed by two terrible noncalls
What teams should do is see if any of their guys were former QBs in high school and develop them as inbounds passers. Two years in a row, Wisconsin has pissed away a "W" in the big dance. Nice call there by the coach
to inbound the ball to the forward because of has mad dribbling skills, it should have been the other way
around. Let the wondering eye forward inbound to BK, oh well filthy Badgers.
Game between 2 teams who were both over their heads. They were just shopped liver for however they play winner of next gameWhat teams should do is see if any of their guys were former QBs in high school and develop them as inbounds passers.
When I watch Wisconsin ball I always think that that was what Lickliter was trying to do here?
It did not work.
It was probably a good model to try to emulate actually, but when it didn't work, it really looked bad.
Why Fran had to come in and change the tempo immediately.
Look at all you Iowa fans. Those hacks on Nigel and Bronson should've been called, ridiculous no-calls. It was the Badgers' game to lose and the refs made sure they did. I have great respect for your program and all, but you people cannot sit here and say these things after your performance vs Villanova.... my goodness. The Badgers may not have beat that team either, but my goodness they'd put up more of a fight. Not trying to aggravate anybody here, you may all say what you will. Badgers will be back hungry as ever next year.
One thing we can all agree on: go Indiana
Haha.... Wisconsin would have gotten destroyed by nova. Fact.
One thing we can all agree on: go Indiana
We'd maybe not be able to outscore Nova, but we play too good of defense (defense wins championships), the game would be close.
Can't help but recall... which team won in Iowa City this year?
For all those who call Badger basketball "ugly" and "boring," our game is fundamentals and passing, and there were a number of very pretty buckets scored due to beautiful execution tonight. Just because our game doesn't always involve breakaways and crazy dunks (oh wait, Zak Showalter's sick putback) doesn't mean it's not a proper way to play the game.
I actually agreed that badgers were hosed at the end but you absolutely lost me with this one.
Go Heels
Which is why Big Ten coaches were sad to see him go because that meant we'd at least try to get somebody who could try to recruit to Iowa and compete with the league's best.Butler played a deliberate type of offense, So I can see the comparison, Lick's problem was that Brad Stevens was the one with all the AAU connections and primary person responsible for the talent that Butler had. I lived in Indy at the time and as much as he get's bashed here, Dakich said on his local radio show that Lick would likely struggle at Iowa because he didn't have the recruiting connections.
Happ got screwed on his foul out. Nigel got shoved to the ground by the guy that Happ ended up landing on. Should have been foul on ND and Wisconsin likely wins the game. The steals were questionable non calls but Notre Dame sure did make their free throws. Also hated the zooming in on happ after he fouled out.
Why are you on an Iowa board????Look at all you Iowa fans. Those hacks on Nigel and Bronson should've been called, ridiculous no-calls. You're joking, right? No defense is predicated on fouling lol. I wish Iowa would play that physical on defense, we are way too soft and afraid of contact imo.Oh please, a Badger fan complaining about no-calls when your defense has always been predicated on bumping and fouling on every play because you know the refs will not call it every time.
