With the Clintons, the political scandals never stop

1. it was quickly revealed that the whole post was a troll. But you insisted and still do that it wasn't.( and are the only one who insists) Do you really think I had a "moral dilemma " on my hands that I couldn't figure out? Come on, man........I know you've got a good sense of humor.......think about it.
2. Yes......I actually jab myself for it here quite often. But you always take it to a different level than others do
.
3. TOM has confirmed that stated more than once that I never asked for anyone to be banned or removed. However, YOU would let it go. Jabberjaw went WAY too far.....along with one other poster........but I never asked for his banning, nor the thread to be removed.

4. 9 years, dude. 9 freaking years. My daughter is in her Jr. Year. This happened when she was in 2nd grade. She has 2 division 3 lacrosse offers, has a full schedule of honors classes, and plans to attend the U of I.....because it's where she wants to go.

let....it....go.

It's always nice to dust that one off throughout the years. Have a good weekend.

What is a Division 3 "offer?"

She has been offered to join their programs, and has been told that an academic scholarship or a need based grant will be made available to her.
Div III obviously cannot give out athletic scholarships. Div 1 lacrosse is limited to 12 schollies per team and Div II is limited to 9.9. Very few lacrosse players ever receive a full athletic scholarship.

I'm basically just yanking your chain. It's D3 girls; basically anybody can go out for the team, and anybody is eligible for aid whether they play a sport or not.

It's pretty much the same for male sports; except with them it's more competitive.

Actually with lacrosse you're pretty uninformed. Div III lacrosse, especially on the women's side, is viewed as being equal to, and at times better competitively than Div I.

There are a lot of girls every year that opt to play Div III over Div 1. Wish I was joking about that...but it's true. When we go to showcase tournaments, Div III recruiters outnumber Div I by a large number.

I'm actually pretty well versed on all of this. Let's put it this way, wrestling has a similar situation where a lot of guys prefer DIII because of the sparcity of scholarships. Yet there are about 10x more high school boy wrestlers per available college position than there are HS girls lacrosse players per college spots.

And even though it's 10x harder, any HS wrestler would be welcome on any DIII team. So I am sure any HS girl who played lax is welcome at any DIII team. There are, in fact, more DIII girl Lacross teams than DI, DII, and DIII wrestling teams combined!

Not to mention that, as I said earlier, any kid going to a DIII school is eligible for the same aid as any athlete - by NCAA rule. So, no, there isn't anything special about being "offered" a chance to play for a DIII team.
