I wonder how Caitlin's off-season plans will change now that her guy Connor McCaffery will no longer be with the Pacers in Indy. He just accepted an Assistant Coach position with Butler University.

I'm just saying, they may no longer be working in the same building, but their still both working in Indy, so assuming they are living together not sure how this affects their situation....
Great idea, except NONE of that is in anyway under CC's control as far as salary cap or contract management which will make large scale roster overhaul almost impossible. As we've discussed the Fever have too much "dead weight" on the books, and much of it they will have a great deal of difficulty shedding, (if at all).
That would seemingly be one of the benefits of her playing in Unrivaled, but apparently, at least this year, it isn't happening.
She has said she is not playing overseas, but to my knowledge, she has not ruled out Unrivaled, and Unrivaled has not revealed all of their participants.
Looks like she's going to focus on golf. She is set up to participate in Annika Sorenstam LPGA Pro-AM. Just how good a golfer is she? I would assume she can drive it a long ways with her length/leverage and wiry muscle. I see some of the LPGA golfers and pundits are already scoffing at her for invading their sport.
I have not seen a direct quote on not playing in the 3x3 league unrivaled, but this article says she is not.

This is just more angst from yet another group and its freakin hilarious. No where that I've seen has CC22 said she's going to be a pro golfer in the off season. She's going to play in a PRO AM invitational! Maybe a few of them. A lot of NFL and MLB guys do this every year. She was invited to play in this one and its leadership panel on women in sports because, A) she loves golf, and B) because she has a huge platform on womens sports C) because shes part of this exclusive group of womens athletes sponsering the event. I mean what the hell is wrong with these women? This is the same kind of jealous nonsense as the WNBA old guard. Did you hear complaints from the men when she played in the Quad cities with Zach Johnson at the John Deere pro am last summer? NO! Because they loved her presence and they didn't feel threatened by her being there. Just more petty female jealousy...
Assuming everyone after Stewart and Collier get roughly equal compensation for the league then CC should wait a year. See how the league does in terms of ratings and then come in year 2 to the negotiating table with pretty clear demands and expectations for her compensation. If the league is doing crazy numbers then cool but if not then she should get a larger piece of the pie commensurate with the increased ratings she will bring. My speculation.
The timing of the league couldn't be much worse, January? If someone can explain it to me i'd be grateful. NBA/NFL/CFB/NCAA Women/Men. I don't see why they couldn't have it later in the year when football is over at least. WNBA camps didn't start until April 28th this year. They could slip it in before the real meat of NBA playoffs and no football. Only college basketball to compete with and everyone is fiending for more basketball all of April anyways.
Seems like the timing of Unrivaled is spot on. Starts a couple of months after the W, and ends a couple of month before the W. It would essentially coincide with conference play in college basketball. With that being said, no way I'm watching it unless Caitlin is playing.
She's underestimating the physicality of the LPGA; her delusional fan base is posting she'll win every event; it's extremely disrepectful to LPGA greats; reality is coming; she's in for rude awakening; she hits long drives, what else she do?
