So Spencer Lee, Warner, and Desanto are the only post graduates on the HWC roster? Is Young still competing? MC Hammer manages his money better than the HWC.
Woods has a great relationship with Bormet, both have strong ties to IL high school wrestling and clubs. Makes sense.
It’s still disappointing. Woods is a class act. I wish him the best.
I do think he has competed in any freestyle tournaments for HWC. Thought he said he was going MMA after college? Hope he is over whatever was wrong with him second half senior season.
It is cool that he is still wrestling, but when is he ever going to put that Stanford degree to use?
I wonder if he's not getting his doctorate degree. Undergrad at Stanford, Masters at Iowa, Doctorate at Michigan. Regardless, Real is a fine a young man and I wish him the best of luck.

Love him. I want to see him succeed. It would be nice to see high-level talent migrate to us though.
I saw some high-level new talent in the room earlier in the week. Not my story to tell, but should be an great asset to help .

Good question-- no connection to Woods move at all-- but an exciting workout partner for the team and HWC wrestlers.

I dont know-- I know the way our staff operates is a source of frustration at times, and I understand that-- They just dont make things public a lot of times like other programs, I dont think they feel the need to make a big deal out of it. The guys in the room know for sure, and I'm pretty certain potential recruits will be aware-- just no need I guess to "advertise" it.

I don’t expect you to inform us who it is since it’s not your roll, but in a situation like this what downside is there to telling the public “HEY we got a new stud in the wrestling room to help coach and train!” All I see is a positive with this info; don’t get why they would want this to remain a secret.
They just won't make a big deal about it and make an announcement. He's a high level guy . He will be competing for sure. He's a middle weight guy. He should help 141-157

Maybe he can get the Japanese wrestler at Okie State to transfer in at semester. Fills our hole.
We have a new guy in the club with multiple gold medals and we don’t think it’s a good idea to announce? Not saying we need to throw a party, but an announcement might go along ways with drumming up some excitement. I mean gold medals aren’t really floating around in there much these days so it’s nice to get someone with some.
Their last name is Otuguro. Keisuke hasn’t wrestled since 2021 Olympics I believe. Takuto has a world and Olympic gold and is only 25, would love for Iowa to buy him.
Just a guess…it could be Spencer had something to do with this addition, if in fact it’s this Japanese wrestler?
