The rare time when I'm kinda disappointed by a birdie.

I think after the first shot I had three choices, so I went from the top left of the keyboard and worked down the rows. It's always how I do it, so I get what I get. Still, the eagle would've been nice!

How the hell some of you get so consistent at eagles and birdies? Are you always starting it off with the same word? I make it a goal to change up my first word most everytime but maybe that's not helping me.

I am not sure if I am "consistent" in getting eagles and birdies, but I do get a fair number of them, so I will take a stab.

For me...I use different starting words probably 70% of the time, just for fun. But I try to use at least two vowels in every blind guess so I am either scoring, or eliminating, as many of those limited letters as I can in the first couple of guesses.

If I whiff on the 1st guess, and I often do, then I have a couple/few lesser used letters that I go right towards using on guess #2. It's just my feeling that if "normal" letters aren't present in the word, then it seems that the word uses one or more of my "weird" letters.

Same starting word every time. Take a stab at what’s remaining and try a word that eliminates as many possibilities as possible. According to Bot, I had 14 words left after the tee shot. My second guess took five off the board. For the birdie, there were 9 words left (I had seven in mind) and my guess would have eliminated 6 of them…but it happened to be right. So a lotta luck involved.

Unreal luck. My second shot was a total stab in the dark trying to knock it in from 150. Instead it ended in the sand trap on the hole over (trust me, first two letters eliminated practically nothing). I had a million shots to play for birdie and knocked it in the cup.
