Workplace enforcement raids are back

That’s my whole point with all of this. We have a state with 3.2% unemployment and rural areas have been shrinking for decades. It’s going to take some serious coin to get people back out there.
But if places are having to start paying some coin, I’m sure people will go back.
All these rural areas are dying and cities just keep getting bigger. I can’t imagine that’s the best thing for our state.

I don’t think they’ll be able to pay enough. You’d probably have to pay bonuses, huge salaries, etc.

I think it’s much more likely there is just less production, fewer jobs, and an even quicker erosion of rural Iowa. More than likely you’d be drawing on a pool of talent like ex-cons who can’t get work anywhere else.

People want their milk, cheese. beef, veal, pork, lamb, poultry, etc,.. and those that want it will pay for it.

You double the labor costs at all levels of production and ground beef will be 15.00 a pound. They’ll buy less of it, because people always buy less of stuff when prices dramatically increase.

We will also find foreign markets decreasing due to the tariffs and prices. Demand will be down, and thus production will decrease.

Yep, but there will still be a customer base,.. demand vs production will find equilibrium.
