As the world of college sports exists today and in the likely future, no. In football, you "need" a title game. The Big XII has essentially stupidly failed to adapt where the Big X has. I'm not saying all additional schools have added a ton (or not), but they are "family" now. I laid out a radical plan for college football realignment a few months ago, but it would be stupid to break the band up now. Too many plusses to cancel out any minor concerns.

As the world of college sports exists today and in the likely future, no. In football, you "need" a title game. The Big XII has essentially stupidly failed to adapt where the Big X has.
