Some interesting results at some wrestle offs, Jackson striggow who didn't qualify for nationals and was 14-14 last year beat returning AA Kevin Beazley twice pinning him in the first period and than winning 7-6.

True freshman drew mattin will probably start at 25 as he beat Assad 4-0 with 4 minutes of riding time. Myles amine and Garrett Sutton had a 3 match series where it sounds like they both won 2-ot matches and amine won the 3rd match 4-2.
Alec pantelao beat tough freshman layne van anrooy 4-1
At Nebraskas the most interesting match was breske beating labriola 2-1 in tiebrakers. Isaiah white had a 5-3 win against dalton peters and than majored johnny Blankenship. Chad red also had a tight match winning 4-3 against Christian miller but than pinned him in the 1st the next match

At mizzou Barlow McGhee beat dack punke 3-2 so I'm guessing he'll start at first, idk why Assad didn't wrestle. Joey lavalle had a tight one against Luke fortuna winning 3-2 and grant leeth who was really tough in high school a few years back winning super 32 and Fargo beat Alex butler 5-4 so I'm guessing he'll be the 49 pounder at least to start the year

Though these were some interesting results even though wrestle offs often times don't decide the starters as there's always a few odd results usually based on familiarity

Thanks? Not trying to be a dick... but that was incredibly hard to read. Thanks for the info though.
Not trying to be a dick, followed by a dick statement. Got to love it. Kind of like saying no offense, and then saying something totally offensive. I said no offense,,, so you can not be offended!! You dick!! :) Half the stuff I type on here comes from my phone and is hard to read and jacked up with errors. Hell, I had to edit this post.

Thanks for the info ILhawk

Way to wordy, go with 'Man I would hate to see how you are if you tried to be a dick'

Shields beat Tsirtsis 3-2 today as well. Anthony Valencia wrestles off at 165 and Zahid at 174 so any rumors left of them going up should be put to rest

I'm surprised to see Tsirtsis at 157 based on how he looked at Midlands last year (fat). I suppose enjoying the rest of his college experience (how could you not with the coeds at ASU..) may be a good thing for him with all he's been through. I imagine he makes his way onto the medal stand, but probably pretty low on the podium if not on the floor. I don't think any of the top guys have much to fear from him.

Leeth from MO has battled injuries the last couple of seasons from what I understand so I wonder how much he has progressed since high school. Mizzou has lots of solid in state kids who may be a level shy of being threats in D1 but it is still good to see so many staying home. Barlow confuses me, he seemed pretty good a couple years ago but was a totally different guy last year. I wonder if the weight cut is getting to be too much for him. Don't think he's a threat to AA unless he gets back to his old form.

Assad seems to be struggling adjusting to this level - I honestly expected a little more from him coming out of HS.
