WWE Raw

Watching the Brody Lee/Luke Haper best of on the WWE/Peacock network....he was magic, and Dolph winning the ladder match vs. him in Dolph's home town was the first time I recall a guy winning in his home town...this whole 'doc' has been awesome, miss this level of wrestling...crowd is everything.

That video is also a good reminder of how great Heenan was as a heel manager as well. I started watching around the MTV/WWF partnership, so right around Orndorff's run with the WWF.

Interesting that his run with Hogan, which was huge, never got a Mania match. I know they pulled a crowd of 65K in Toronto, but I think their cage match on SNME was the end to their fued in January which was the beginning of Hogan/Andre.

Paul's arm was in bad shape. He needed surgery at the beginning of that feud. So they probably milked it for all they could.

I kinda remember hearing that now, but he did the feud because he knew financially it would be worth it. Was he done with the WWF after that run with Hogan? Did he come back? I remember him in WCW after.

He tore his bicep during the feud. Never know when another big money run is coming or ever will come. He came back in 88 I believe and crowd cheered him. So turned face and feuded with Heenan and Rude. Think he retired in 90. But came back to Smokey Mountain Wrestling then eventually WCW in 92/93. Somewhere in there. Then he was mostly training the new guys because u could see the nerve damage in his arm from postponing the surgery.

Cornette mentioned him on a recent podcast, when a video of him was going viral concerning his health/dementia issues, but talked a little about his time in Smokey Mountain.

Think he mostly did Smokey to show the big boys he still had something to give.

I think he still gets it, not the way many of us want him to, but hardley the reaction you'd expect for the guy that is ruining wrestling...lol

Watched half of Smackdown tonight for the first time in a pandemic ago. Decent show...one thing lost in Covid, is Bel-Air is Over like Rover....they would be wise to return Lynch to Raw

Vader Jr. and Gable are a fun mid card act. The women's division still has issues with keeping face and heel distinguished. Hopefully they send Charlotte to Smackdown and let The Man feud with Ripley.

6 faces and 2 heels in the mens MITB match...

Prince Balor got a huge pop, glad he's on Smackdown not RAW....

My son is on a road trip with 3 of his college buddies...started Thursday in Atlantic City and they are headed for Texas via Nashville...will be in FtWorth Sunday, he and one friend are going to MITB in person...

Live events rock...MLW Battle Riot last weekend in Philly was insane...

WWE stepping on it's own peter, Charlotte and Ripley have a great match and judging by my tv and twitter, Peacock is glitchy as 'F' for most of the US, like watching the old scrambled ppv's from the 90's....for about 20 mins now as the Men's Money in the Bank match starts....smdh.

Stream got fixed, and just had my first legit mark-out moment in quite some time, the 'E' has redeemed themselves, and so has 'Big E' with the men's mitb match...Go Hawks

They should bring in the New Day eventually to feud with Reign's Tribe. Friends the Family u chose vs The Family u have no choice to accept.

So now we have Rollins and Cena going against Roman...does Big E look to cash in at Summerslam vs. Reigns or go after Lashley on RAW?

They build him cashing in on Lashley...Goldberg gives him a match to where it makes sense, doesn't happen everyone is bummed, and he cashes in on Roman...

They hinted the Becky Lynch tonight, didn't get it, but got an unexpected Cena appearance...

It was a good ppv, minus the woman's mitb, and the glitches...

Nah, Rollins vs Edge, and Cena vs Roman.

Big E is absolutely going after Lashley after he beat down Kofi, and he's probably just gonna cash in to set up a match at Summerslam.

Big E is not the kind of guy that's gonna sneak in and catch Lashley or even Roman when they're down (or pin their opponents ala Seth Rollins taking Lesnar's title at WrestleMania 31 by pinning Roman).

I don't think they are getting Lesnar, at least not right now.

And if Lesnar isn't facing Lashley then there's really nothing left for him even in non-title matches. Nobody wants to see Roman vs Lesnar again.
Well they are supposedly making this SummerSlam a Mania type go for broke. Drew deserves so much better than Jindhal. Nobody wants to see him.

Apparently WWE is just f'n with the internet wrestling community on purpose...lol. Squash a returning Keith Lee for Goldberg, Karrion Cross match, and no Becky, and Charlotte beats Rhea to drop the belt to Nikki? They did give them the Jeff Hardy theme that everyone was jizzing over?

I'm not pissed about anything I watched tonight, it seems less predictable fo sho...

Keith Lee didn't look so hot in the match. Several clunky spots. Botchberg gives Lash another nice win though

Don't forget the new 24/7 champ! :)

Vince pissed all over NXT and then took a dump on top of that last night...

Congrats on making NXT the same level as OVW or UWN...

The Keith Lee thing was odd, I get why they did it, but seems short-sighted, after Goldberg who is Lashley going to wrestle...insert Lee there and get 2-3 ppv's out of it. If Brock returns it won't be until the Rumble likely. Makes it seem like Lee isn't in long-term plans or he was being punished for something.

The Kross situation wasn't as bad due to the nature of him getting pinned, Hardy had his feet on the ropes, plus he is still NXT Champion, curious to see if this is a means to get Hardy in NXT or some type of repush for him.

Vince doesn't like Lee. That's it. I wouldn't expect a positive push for Lee anytime soon. Lee, Lashley, and MVP would make a good Hurt Business 2.0.

It only makes sense if Lee is going to turn heel. When someone gets beat inexplicably, that's where my mind goes.
