Yarden Garzon in transfer portal..

Me also…she has incredible height for a guard, great shooting range. The last couple years playing Indiana, I was always watching where she was at on the court. I was always telling my wife and kids during games that I wished she played for the Hawkeyes.
same for me. that said, I've never seen a more joyless player playing for a good team. No judgement, I don't know what's happening in her world, or her personality. She plays with the complete opposite disposition that Lucy O plays with.

Basketball wise she would be a perfect fit, maybe Callie Levin can get her to loosen up and smile.

Being from Israel might be stressful given geo politics?

Not hard to imagine how playing for Indiana & Moren specifically, while not being a favored native Indianan(sp?), could lend itself to a less-than-joyful experience. I remember those students were particularly hostile/aggressive to CC her senior year- relative to other student crowds. Might be indicative.

Joyless? Maybe Garzon is one of those unfortunate people that suffers from "RBF", but is actually a good teammate. I think it is worth investigating.

She is an absolute perfect fit @6-3 for what we need. Its remarkable to me the level of talent transferring away from too notch coaches and programs. We must be pretty fortunate as a program
Youngest daughter is an Indiana alum and we went to several games at Bloomington, including Caitlin's last 2 IA@IN where Hawks lost both. Garzon is a sharpshooter and would love to see her finish her career in Iowa City. Sadly there has been more than their "fair share" of anti-Israel protests in Bloomington.

Full transparency - my wife and I always wore Iowa gear to Bloomington and never had a problem with the fans there.

I lived in Indy for 21 years and attended numerous Iowa games, Like you I wore Iowa gear and never had any issues, Likewise for games attended at Purdue.
Basketball or football? They both have real basketball fans. Until this last year NO one cared about their football teams in their 2/3 empty stadiums....

Would love to have her but JJ's approach is more level pay for everyone. Not sure that will work for her with what she will get offered elsewhere.

She would absolutely be my #1 target right now if I am JJ. Length and really good shooter. Hopefully we have reached out to her.

I imagine the basketball experience was first rate. You could probably have picked your seat at the football games.....

I worked at a large corporation so I got hooked up for tix pretty easily, Must say that in regard to BB tix I got much better seats at Purdue BB games then IU games. IU football was a joke, Purdue had some nice turnouts in the Joe Tiller years.

That sucks, lots of ignorant folks out there

I thought non-US citizens aren't eligible for NIL due to student visa regulations (Tory Taylor)....I'm sure there's a bunch of ways to get around it however

She is not a US citizen, so cannot take NIL money under current law. Who knows if that will change in the future. I suppose someone can pay her to run a camp in Israel.

They can take all the NIL that they are offered, just have to do the work for the NIL outside the US.
