You Guys Got Cracker Barrell In Iowa?

LoL you surely cannot be serious

I don't live in Des Moines or eastern Iowa but my wife is from the Council Bluffs area. Council Bluffs is very, very blue collar with a lot of poverty and/or drug issues. There's a reason why the region has the stigma it does. (CouncilTucky anyone?) Omaha isn't anything special unless you're a big fan of chain restaurants and other middle class venues. Both have run down, non descript or even drab downtown areas. West Omaha isn't much different than WDSM.

Let's not get carried away here. There are plenty of river towns in Eastern Iowa with similar character

It's not 1960 anymore, you must be joking even comparing WDSM to West O? It's not even 1970 anymore.

Des Moines is a wannabe Omaha and eastern Iowa is one big stinky river town, not to forget Chicago buys one way bus tickets for the worst of the worst, destination eastern Iowa.

You need to get out more.

No, I'm not joking. I likely get out more than you do. In fact, I was just in your area last week.

It is what it is

Cracker Barrel is not good. The food is just way too heavy/dense.

Slowly but surely you are moving down the quality poster scale....

Someone from counciltucky calling any town in Eastern Iowa a river town is adorable. Council Bluffs makes my hometown of Sioux City look cosmopolitan.

We have a Cracker Barrel in Omaha and it's pretty good.

Ate at a Waffle House on Christmas Day 1993 when I was on TDY in Biloxi. Eh.

I wish we had a Bob Evans here. Closest one is in St. Joseph MO.

Had Bob Evans for the first time a few weeks ago in St. Louis when looking for houses. Not bad. About like perkins with better bacon.

Honestly, how hard is it to screw up eggs and hashbrowns?

My favorite breakfast place is Waveland Cafe in DSM or Blue Bird Diner in IC.

I didn't know there was one in Iowa. None over here in Eastern Iowa, at least none that I know of.

Good place for breakfast. Mrs. LC likes that thing they do with a piece of thick toast that the cut a hole in the middle, put it on the griddle, and break an egg into the hole. Forget what it's called.

Many, many places have great breakfasts, though.
Davenport is in Eastern Iowa. We have Cracker Barrel.

LoL I don't know what to tell ya. If you want to hang your hat on Pizza King and the casinos, by all means, do so.
Wow you must not have comprehended my post, I never mentioned Pizza KIng or a Casino but by all means keep swinging away at thin air.

I love that Arbitr8 is now using the city he is afraid to go to because of all its black residents to try and bolster the preposterous claim that far western Iowa isn't the blight on humanity everyone knows it is. Precious.

You can have one of ours. Due to the influx of Midwesterners there are quite a few in the Bay Area. Not a big fan myself. Too bland.

When I lived in the Central Valley, I used to go to the Bay Area for business. ON my way.......I used to stop at a place called "Nations" in Pleasanton right off of I-580. I don't know what they are like today, but back in the mid 90's.....best restaurant breakfast I've ever had.

People down river call it Sewer City for a reason, the stink is worse than Cedar Rapids

People from there call it that. You're not clever.

And yet, that smelly town is far superior to counciltucky. Let that sink in.

Wow look what crawled out from under his rock, Torbeeeee!

BTW I venture into Murderha daily, I have no problem with the black man I'm not the type they would want to tangle with.

I guess you have to make the best of your plighted situation by all means keep thinking Sewer City is an oasis on the prairie.

Delusional...let me guess, you've never stepped foot on a college campus other than to attend a sporting event..

It's not. I thought I made it clear it wasn't. It's incredibly mediocre. And still superior to CB.

DSM and East is the good part of Iowa. We could give the western third of Iowa to Nebraska and nothing of value would be lost.

Poor and not worth talking to?

Good God you have complex problems, btw yes I have stepped foot and actually lived on a college campus prior to graduation.

Not sure how you managed to jump from a post about Cracker Barrel to this but I hope you feel better when the meds kick in.

St. Louis? Wow will you be an easy target for some gang bang wannabe.

I bet a single house in west St. Louis where I'll be living could buy 20 or 25 of the trailers you live in. And that's just the middle class houses.

I now have no doubt you were born and raised in Sioux City, being intellectually deficient is a trademark good luck in St. Louis you will need it.

Check out The Boardwalk Cafe for breakfast in StL. Cheap, good, large quantities. Write your name on the clipboard when you get there if busy. It's a small place, but good food.

The Iowa tribal mentality that is on display here is quite humorous. I have lived in or have family in all parts so I see lots of Iowa...its all pretty much the same. A town every 15 miles or so off the interstate and home of the most left lane loungers in America.

And Cracker Barrel still is bad food.

For someone so scholarly, you sure do butcher the English language and basic punctuation.

I get it. You feel insecure and lash out at those who are brighter. Hell, when IMCC is your intellectual superior, you know you're way down the educational totem pole.

Holy hell is this true. It's embarrassing (and makes me feel stabby). And it's not just the old people.

Usually women, though.

Best of luck living in your next river town as you will need it.

Sorry, meant the other Bay Area. I live on Tampa Bay. I have lived in the San Francisco Bay Area as well and I don't think a Bob Evans would make it there. Besides the local breakfast burrito's are by far the best breakfast places in CA.

I like Bob Evans...we have one in Nashville across from Opryland Hotel...got the worst case of salmonella ever after eating an over easy egg at I HOP...found a hair in my salad at Perkins...those 2 are now on my "Never Eat There Again" list.

Iowa doesn't hold a candle to Texas. Pretty sure down there the left lane is, cruise control at speed limit lane
