You're all wrong....

We can compare court time if you'd like?
Everyone on here agrees u don’t know shit. Stfu an go to bed. JoeT put us in the position to win that game, yeah sux he couldn’t make a ft to make it 4pt game. Also sucks cj missed 3of5 ft’s down the stretch.

Yawn. Haha, you've obviously never played the game. Move on amature. Anyone with half a brain understands the difference of knocking down 1 of 2, up 3 with 10 seconds left vs any other scenario in prior game moments....dbag.

Yall can argue all the stats u want, none of it matters no one gives 2 craps. If Toussaint does what any marginal player does in that situation. Up 3 , needing to make 1 of 2 to seal a victory on a bad team night...there's 0 excuse, u have to cover that for your team...complete dogshit he doesn't make 1, and shouldn't see the floor in last 3 mins again, period.
Please could you repeat this again. The first 15 times isn't enough.

Hawkisoaker is the classic “I’m always right and if you disagree you’re always wrong” guy. Plus I’m surmising he is intentional in his methods.

Who the fvck is Hawkeyesoaker. I love when these fags come out to post 4 times a year, while telling us they played and know more about basketball than everyone else on here.

Hawkisoaker also knows more about football than anyone on the board. Just ask him.

Doesn't matter if u make 1 of 2. That lost the game, period.
Again, we get that you want to pin this on Joe but the TEAM gave up 64 points after the first half. Just STFU if you don't think that is why we lost the game. Fran's shitty coaching is the factor, not a kid who played well in 17 mins of the bench. While coach's kid played 34 and sucked. Again.

While most would agree I’m afraid there will be at least one dissenting member.

Lol so when cj got fouled on a 3 and could’ve put us up 7 and instead missed 2 and put us up 5, that didn’t matter? Or when he made 1 of 2 shortly after that it didn’t matter? Yes, joeT’s ft’s cost us the game, but so did numerous other plays in the last few minutes that would’ve put the game away.

Nope didn't matter as much as making 1 of 2 with 10 seconds left to seal a victory.

College kids don't make free throws outside of a few exceptions. This isn't anything new.

Cue Hawkisoaker to tell you you’re wrong. We’re all wrong, other than the omnipotent Hawki, he’s always right

Free throws all throughout the game are just as important as those at the end. Just another statistic that this team struggles with.

If CJ or Joe T. make one more free throw down the stretch, the rest doesn't matter. They are both good free throw shooters and they didn't come through. They will in other games and have in the past, but they didn't last night when the game was to be won or lost.

Here's some research that has been done regarding 2 FTs..

"This is an interesting question that I think many basketball players dont know the answer to but many non-basketball players find easy.

The way to figure this out is with realizing how probabilities work.

The way to see this is as two separate events, the first shot and the second shot. The first shot has a probability of 90% going in and 10% missing. The same with the second shot. This means that there are 4 possibilities.

Both go in
First goes in and second misses
First misses and second goes in
Both miss

Youll notice that the second and third scenarios have the same result of one free throw going in. Now ill introduce a very basic stats theory. The probability of two (or more) events all happening is the probability of the first event multiplied by the probability of the second event given that the first has already happened. We also convert percentages to decimal notation. Also since the probability of the free throw going in is 90%, the probability of a miss is 10%. The free throw must either go in or not go in.

So a breakdown of our probabilities is

0.9×0.9=0.81=81%
0.9×0.1=0.09=9%
0.1×0.9=0.09=9%
0.1×0.1=0.01=1%

You can combine the second and third to the probability of one shot going in to be 18% if you dont care about order.

Well there you have it. That free throw shooter had an 81% chance at making both shots and a way to figure it out for any percentage free throw shooter you like."
Your stats are accurate, but you left one thing out (or were wrong). Yes the 2nd and 3rd would be the odds of make EXACTLY 1 of the shots. But the odds of make AT LEAST one is 81 + 18 = 99%. Just looking at the odds only. Being human and susceptible to circumstances and pressure, who knows.

Your name is co hawk, with a CSU Ram, but im a "fag"...hahaha.

The problem with the theory of anyone making this FT or that FT doesn't account for how things change on the offensive and defensive end of the opponent's next possession. Iowa missed 11 FTs but teams have to make them in the last two minutes of a game. I am not blaming anyone for the loss. There are too many variable during a game that could change the outcome. Missed FTs matter but, in the last two minutes of a close game, you can't go back and try to make earlier misses, so in that sense, previous misses don't matter. Bottom line, you have to have your best FT shooters with the ball in their hands. In this game it didn't happen.

@denmar81 @CO_hawk

You both made the mistake of thinking anyone other than Hawkisoakeye could have a valid opinion. As he stated in the thread title everyone is wrong, only he can be right.
