I'm left-leaning and want all post-shooting footage from LEOs shared regardless of who the deceased is.
That is basic transparency and critically important in allowing taxpayers to know their government is acting within the boundaries of the law.
This footage, like footage from all LEO-involved shootings, should be released as soon as prudently possible within the confines of an ongoing investigation.
That said, given this guy's track record of clear and legitimate threats - including previous contact with law enforcement in which he said afterward publicly he considered killing them - it is absolutely zero surprise this outcome happened. Which I expect the eventually released footage to show.

Yeah, it really was. Did he show up at a rally with a sniper rifle? Again, just based on his posts, the fbi, LE etc... 100% needed to pay him a visit and likely charge him. But those saying he deserved to die solely on his posts are being ridiculous.
He was armed when they tried to serve the warrant,.... which probably also means he aimed it. Granted we don't know that yet. But when LEOs tell you to drop your weapons, and you know they did, when they try to arrest you and you don't then that's on you.

No need to change my tune, I've always been consistent on this point. If you are a deadly threat to LE when they're trying to arrest you, then they should use deadly force if necessary. In each circumstance video evidence should be made available to see if it was a reasonable response to the situation. I'm more confident in this specific scenario because the agency was the FBI, not some backwater Mississippi PD.

I fear they will be gravely disappointed however.
I watched the Ashlee Babbit shooting. The cops are telling her to back away, to stop, not to come through the window and she just keeps coming. They then shoot her. Open and shut case, I thought. She was clearly in the wrong and had ample opportunity to not get killed.
She’s still a hero and a martyr in MAGA circles.
