Des Moines Community Schools will not allow staff to carry guns on campus in opposition to the Iowa Governor wanting to allow Iowa educators to be armed.

Chapter 1 in standing up to another stupid piece of legislation.

I hope any new schools being planned have it designed in such a way for a security scan similar to TSA at the entrance to be implemented if they so desire.

Reynolds knows that there will be problems with this law, but she pushed for passage, anyway.
Included in the bill is the amendment that schools cannot be sued when something goes wrong...like a student getting the gun and killing others.

This is a disaster waiting to happen.

What types of criminal records? It shouldn't automatically disqualify you. FFS several Republicans are running for office that have criminal records.
