Kittle bright spot on Christmas

George had a big game in a dismal 49's effort.
7 catches with a long of 58. Solid work.
Yes, he played great. He loves to block as we know and is a great blocker and for some reason the 49ers went pass heavy last night and their pass protection did not hold up under a number of blitzes.

CMC was killing it all night so not sure why they wanted to move away from that and Debo out of the backfield or on the edge of the line to end around or block the edge rusher then release to the inside or outside to get the ball in his hands for YAC. They need to look more for Brandon Aiyuk downfield as well when the defense starts to suck up to stop the run then look to Kittle if he is covered. Not a good game from the qb to HC calling the plays. Purdy wasn’t letting plays progress either and throwing into heavy coverage over the middle but looked like DPI on the Kittle throw that was intercepted.

SF OL got man-handled. That's surprising given how they negated Cowboy and Eagles pass rush in previous games. Ravens decided to attack Purdy & Co. rather than playing coverage and getting sliced up.

These 2 teams may meet again in SB. If so, you'll see different gameplans from both.

If Mitchell was healthy/available, SF would have probably stuck more to the run in the first half. Shanahan doesn't trust Mason in big games.

OL is SF's weakest link, especially if #71 Williams is out or dinged up. OL should be their top priority in 2024 draft.
