Another "interesting" play call, in Doodle's humble opinion anyway, was Locksley calling for a punt down two touchdowns with 49 seconds left on 4th and 12 from just shy of midfield. As a highly-paid coach of a P4 program, how do you possibly try to explain and defend that decision?
Is "don't give up any more points to Iowa" really your primary concern at that juncture of the game? It certainly seemed like that was the case. What lesson does that teach your players?
