Nole Friends, I’m Doing the Unforgivable

I’m pulling for Florida this weekend.

I’m telling you this out of respect and a desire to be transparent.

I’ve long loathed the Gators and their fans, going back to our bowl games against them early on in KF’s tenure. They are the worst, and I would be OK if the Gators were nuked from existence.

But the last couple CFB seasons has shown me that being an insufferable fan is not unique to Florida, but to the lion’s share of SEC fans. Not just about their team, which is to be expected…but also about the entire conference. It is bizarre, incestuous behavior the way they flock to social media to white knight for a rival, or someone who beat them.

I wish for only bad things to happen to that league, and Florida beating Ole Miss would be incredible. Rebel fans have been shit-talking Indiana and seeing them pick up a third loss would be *chef’s kiss*.

This will be a very temporary thing, as soon as the Gators can’t do anything for me, they’re back on the shitlist. But please Florida, make this thing happen.
Gator fans were pretty bad, especially after the game they "won," but they were choir boys compared to Arizona fans. I've never seen that many adults acting like spoiled toddlers in my life. The things they were doing would get any Iowa fan kicked out of Kinnick and banned for life. Even the douchebag Mississippi State fans with their goddamn cowbells were nothing compared to those pricks in Tuscon.

A new GOP House proposal is set to ban trans women from women's bathrooms at the capitol building to target first trans Rep, Sarah McBride

I saw a new one this morning. Someone on Facebook was bitching about the government being for themselves and not for the people because they made this rule for congress and not for the public. Smh.

I'm all for protecting women's sports, women's locker rooms and bathrooms in schools or where minors are the main users. But if you're an adult, who gives a ****. It's not like you are getting undressed in front of anyone. You're in a private stall. There is a common sense line to draw and our society is unable to figure out where that line is.

Like I said. It’s such a small majority of the population. Why are you so worked up about it? How is it affecting you?
If you haven’t caught on, I’m acting like a dem. That’s always the response you guys give when trans issues are brought up. Here a dem started a trans thread, why I don’t know because it has no impact on his life. It impacts such a small percentage of people. Who cares if they pass some bill.

So you've moved on from this bill helps the average person to this bill doesn't impact the average person?

If the bill doesn't impact the average person why is the government wasting time by passing an unnecessary bill that's only purpose is to target a marginalized group?

***Official Caitlin/Fever/Kate/Meg Games Mega Thread***

Very smart move by Caitlin to stay out of Unrivaled! Now she can keep dialing in with the lifting and with the finer parts of her game, all while getting enough rest and still having time to enjoy life after a really long season.
I went back and forth. On balance, I was hoping she would play for purposes of recruiting free agents, and for purposes of my entertainment. But she made the best decision for herself for the reasons you stated.

This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

Russia has spent the last 15 years steadily modernizing and rearming its navy. The work is intended to recover it from the post-Cold War low point of the 1990s, reaching new levels. The introduction of new classes of warship, though smaller than those they replace, is a significant leap in modernity. Meanwhile new submarines, particularly the nuclear-powered Severodvinsk(Yasen) class, are truly world class.

But the project now faces a major obstacle. The cracks are already showing, and Russia is unlikely to be able to maintain the modernization of its naval forces if the war continues.

The invasion of Ukraine has heated the Russian economy and created new political and financial challenges for the Kremlin. This is felt on the battlefield, and is also visible in the navy’s reconstruction. So while the future Russian navy may retain some high-end assets, particularly advanced submarines, its overall influence at sea is likely to diminish.

The 97' team was probably the end for Hayden. That team was loaded with talent and just couldn't win the close games that year plus laid the usual Ohio St. egg. They somehow lost to Michigan in a game they seemed to dominate and then lost by 3 at Wisconsin and 1 at NW.

98' they didn't have a ton of talent and the team continued its slide from 97' and finished 3-8.
I remember that team as one of the worst teams … wow they were terrible in every aspect… I don’t want those days back ever… Nebraska fans have had to deal with this for how many years?
