I think one of the most disappointing things

IHG (the company that manages hotels like Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza) lost my business forever. I was a member of their loyalty program and had a bad experience and stopped choosing them. The bad experience was Wi-Fi. I showed up at one of their properties and there was a sign at the desk saying "Our apologies, but our Wi-Fi isn't working right now. Sorry for the inconvenience."

Okay, shit breaks down and stuff happens.

Visited this property again about four weeks later. Same sign is still on the desk. Okay, so the Wi-Fi NEVER works there. The ability to get on the internet via the hotel Wi-Fi was pretty freaking important back then. I don't think I had a phone that created a hotspot.

So, I stopped staying at IHG hotels and started chasing loyalty status with Hilton brands.

Fast forward a few years... we had some work thing going on and we all were REQUIRED to stay at the same Holiday Inn property. Upon check-in, the clerk asked if I wanted to join the loyalty program. I thought I was already a member, but I didn't have any activity for a couple of years so maybe my account expired, and I drove all day to get there and I was tired and just wanted my freaking key card, so I just said, "Sure, whatever."

Fast forward a few weeks and I got an email from IHG stating that I violated the terms and conditions by creating a duplicate account, I was banned from the program, I forfeited all my points, and I am a terrible human being.

Dafuq?!!?

For this reason, IHG is dead to me. I would rather sleep in my car instead of in one of their properties.

Have a job opportunity that will increase my salary by about 30% but requires I commute from KS to TX. Kids are currently in high school and wife doesn't want to move to Texas. Considering commuting where I can do 3-4 days in a row there and 1-2 days home. Curious if anyone has done something like this and what impacts they thought it put on their family life.

Alternatively if I move and work full time I'll make double or triple my salary. Wondering if anyone packed up their high school kids and moved.

Not bad. Definitely not as bad as the reviews made it sound. I liked it.

Good players are landing everywhere except Iowa. We need beef on the OL and DL; receivers, TE, CB and a good RB. If we have all this NIL, we should be standing on more than just a back qb at this point.

How much should you spend on your teenage kids for Christmas?

It was a lot more fun Christmas shopping for them when they were little & still wanted toys, now everything they want is $100 or more.

We used to cap each kid at $500 that's seems impossible at this age.

Sources have said UCF has contacted Scott Frost and gauged interest from the Lincoln Riley camp as possible replacements for Gus Malzahn.

Imagine Frost getting UCF into the playoffs before Rhule gets Nebraska there. The Big 12 is a cluster right now. ASU and ISU are playing for a spot this Saturday. Meanwhile the B1G has Oregon, Ohio State, Penn State, Indiana and Michigan operating at a higher level right now. Heck Illinois and Iowa are good for at least 8 wins. Much tougher sledding.

Went in there to get a printer. Kind of a ghost town in there. I don't know how they stay in business. Used to be well stocked. Kind of an upscale better version of a radio shack minus all the resistors and wiring.

It is great to be an Iowa Wrestling fan.
