Illinois made its first NCAA Tournament in 20 years last year in head coach Shauna Green's first season in Champaign. That was part of a remarkable turnaround where Green took Illinois from 7-20 the year before she arrived to 22-10 in just one season.

Illinois returned most of the best players from last year's team and expectations were that the Illini would be a Top 25 team and maybe even compete for a conference title. That hasn't happened. Illinois sits just 13-12 and isn't particularly close to the NCAA Tournament bubble.

While the Illini's record is mediocre, they're still dangerous. They beat Indiana 86-66 at home on Monday. They also have road wins over Penn State and Michigan. Additionally, their record in games decided by single digits is an improbably poor 1-9. Flip a few of those results, and Illinois probably is an NCAA Tournament team.

This is a game that Iowa needs to win. The Hawks are down to a 2-seed now in ESPN's latest Bracketology, and a loss to a team outside the NCAA Tournament team could send them spiraling further.

Iowa WBB's X-Factor: Offense From the Fourth and Fifth Options

IOWA CITY -- Iowa has a clear offensive pecking order. Caitlin Clark is the best scorer in women's college basketball history. She has led Iowa in scoring in all but one game this season.

After Clark, Kate Martin and Hannah Stuelke are Iowa's clear #2 and #3 scoring options. Either could be Iowa's second-leading scorer in a given game.

When options 1-3 of the offense average 60 points per game, it's easy to forget about options four and five. That's a mistake. Iowa's fourth and fifth scoring options are key to Iowa's offensive success.

Against Illinois on Sunday, they showed just how vital they can be in Iowa's 101-85 victory over the Illini.

Trump said the least racist things he ever said last night.

And apparently, according to many on the Sunday morning shows…it was super racist. He’s said waaaaayyyy more racist stuff than that.

He said black people are supporting him because they are also victims of crooked justice system.

The spin is “Trump says blacks like him more now because he’s a criminal and they like people who break the law.”

The actual quote:

"I got indicted a second time and a third time and a fourth time, and a lot of people said that that’s why the Black people like me, because they have been hurt so badly and discriminated against, and they actually viewed me as I’m being discriminated against," he said.

"I’m being indicted for you, the American people. I’m being indicted for you, the Black population. I am being indicted for a lot of different groups by sick people, these are sick, sick people," Trump said Friday night in a speech at the Black Conservative Federation's annual gala, at which he received the "Champion of Black America" award.

Olympic Spotlight: Hawkeye Track and Field Wins 8 Events

Iowa track and field continued their blistering indoor season with another strong weekend at the Iowa Open last week, highlighted by Kat Moody reaching 2nd-all-time in the shot put at Iowa. Moody launched a 17.00m throw that was a career-best, the 20th-best throw in the country this season, and an event winner, one of eight winners for the Hawkeyes on the weekend. Iowa Track and Field has continued to be one of the strongest programs at Iowa and will look to put a stamp on the indoor season when they compete in the Big Ten Championships next week.

Elsewhere, Iowa baseball kicked off its season, Iowa softball saw their young stars continue to put up big numbers, Iowa gymnastics took on Ohio State, and Iowa tennis picked up a pair of in-state victories.
