Iowa Republicans Advance Bill to Make Bringing Children to Drag Shows a Felony

Iowa Republicans have advanced a bill that would make bringing children to drag shows a felony punishable by up to five years in prison and a fine between $1,025 and $10,245.

House Study Bill 158 also states that businesses could be fined $10,000 for allowing minors to attend drag performances, including “story hours.”

Anyone over 18 who brings a minor to a drag show would be guilty of a class “D” felony. A parent or legal guardian bringing a child to a drag show may face civil action of $10,000 to $50,000 for each violation of the law.

Opponents of the bill argued that the language is too vague and could make it a crime for someone who identifies as “transgender” to speak in front of anyone under 18.

The bill defines a “drag show” as any performance where the performer “exhibits a gender identity that is different than the performer’s gender assigned at birth.” This will include clothing, makeup, or any “other gender signifiers.”

The law will apply to any performance where “The performer sings, lip-syncs, dances, reads, or otherwise performs before an audience for entertainment, whether or not performed for payment.”

Dozens of protesters gathered outside during the vote on Tuesday, with many chanting “trans rights” and “drag is not a crime.”

Republican Rep. Helena Hayes said the bill will be tweaked so children are not banned from genuine art performances.

“You cannot say that if we want to address the content of drag performances, that automatically makes us anti-trans,” Hayes said, according to a report from the Des Moines Register.

“This is not about banning drag shows for adults,” Oliver Bardwell, with Iowans For Freedom, said. “It’s not about stifling freedom of expression. It’s about keeping adult content where it belongs: With adults.”

Last 90 seconds of Stephen Buchanan's match. Angel maybe didn't give any NF?

Leading 7-2 with 1:15 of RT at 1:36. Buchanan shoots and is stuffed.
McDanel with one SW, reshoots at 1:29 and SB stuffs and goes around.
10-2, tries to release and do a whipover but he cannot get it. Angel is saying "still green" so at 1:16, SB release
10-3 (w/ RT the major secured).
After a couple of half shots, TV announcer says "one more shot and there will be another SW"
With 52 seconds, and possibly Sensing this McDanel, takes another shot that is stuffed and SB goes around and grabs an ankle.
McDanel slips out and gets a SW for fleeing the mat at 43 seconds
11-3 (with RT)
While BTN is watching the reply of the step out, Angel blows a whistle and they go back live at 37 seconds and SB has both legs and is awarded the TD at 35 seconds (perhaps the most clean TD of the match, thanks BTN)
14-3 w/35 seconds
SB releases at 30 seconds
14-4
McDanel takes another shot and SB stuffs and goes around behind, gets both ankles for TD at 24 seconds
17-4
with 20 seconds, SB goes out front to intentionally release McDanel and see if that whipover is there.
It IS.
From 19-15 seconds, SB has McD on his back, Angel counting and the head controlled. This is definitely all in in place by 14 seconds.
No video evidence of Angel doing any swipes but with 8 seconds left, he calls the pinfall.
I cannot post the Twitter video but it appears that multiple cameras were unable to catch Angel doing any swipes.
I figured even without the pinfall, it was going to be a Tech at 21-4, which would have also have meant that a decision would have won the match.
If Angel doesn't call the fall, does he have to go back to replay to award the 4 NF?

Teemer score?

Quick question at 157. Teemer had Fish in a Peterson for a TD for at least 6 seconds, why did the official need a neutral danger call and three swipes there to award the TD? The Peterson, control of leg and arm, should have been an automatic TD then the swipes for back, in my opinion.
Teemer should have had 3 back points.
If they were in referees position and that would have been a Peterson for a 2 pt. reversal, the 2 points would have been given right away and then back points would have been awarded.
Anyone see it different?

MOORESVILLE, Ind. (WXIX/Gray News) - A high school student in Indiana is accused of planning to kill masses of students at his school on Valentine’s Day.

Authorities said 18-year-old Trinity Shockley is facing conspiracy to commit murder and intimidation charges, Morgan County court records show.

Trinity Shockley, 18, is accused of planning to execute a mass shooting at his high school in Indiana.

Authorities said the 18-year-old’s motivation for the school shooting was to prove to Nikolas Cruz that she was his “number one fan.” However, Shockley decided against the school shooting for several reasons:

  1. He did not want to be escorted to a police car afterward.
  2. He did not want to go to court and “listen to all the stuff.”
  3. He now wants to become a gun activist to get people “out of that mindset.”
  4. He would feel guilty about it.
Investigators said Shockley planned to commit the crime at lunchtime “because that would present the most target-rich environment.”

Investigators explained that Shockley identifies as a transgender man and often goes by Jamie or Dex.

The FBI obtained Discord messages between “Jamie” and another user, “TCC Mama.”

Jan. 12, 2025

Jamie: “Yeah. I’ll be honest. I’m close to shooting mine up. I have an AR-15.”

TCC Mama: “[Damn] OMD that’s so cool!! But wait, do you have a solid plan??”

Jamie: “Parkland part two. Of course. I’ve been planning this for a YEAR.”

TCC Mama: “You don’t plan on killing yourself right??”

Jamie: “No.”

TCC Mama: “Okay good Your secret is safe with me bro. Kids are awful And if you do carry it out good luck.”

Authorities said he collected bullets, magazines, protective gear and named at least one specific target.

A tipster reported the threat to the FBI’s Sandy Hook Tip Line, stating that the suspect had access to an AR-15, ordered a bulletproof vest, admires Nikolas Cruz and that he would kill her best friend in the shooting first.

Nearly one month later, Shockley sent another user, “Sasha,” a link to a photo of 10 Magpul AR-15 magazines and wrote, “I’m also buying a bulletproof vest,” court documents say.

He also sent photos of AR-15 rifles, a photo collage of Dylann Roof - the white supremacist and neo-Nazi who committed mass murder at a South Carolina church in 2015 - and continued to discuss his plan over Discord.

According to the probable cause, investigators found several pieces of evidence inside the home, specifically in the 18-year-old’s bedroom.

  • Photos on the wall of Trinity’s bedroom of Dylann Roof that matched the collage sent on Discord.
  • Another collage that had photos of Nikolas Cruz, who killed 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Valentine’s Day, Dylann Roof and Andrew Blaze, the Weis Markets employee who executed a murder-suicide at his place of employment in 2017.
  • A poster for a movie called “Zero Day.” The movie is about two boys who conduct a school shooting.
  • A poster of who the detective believes to be Dylann Roof.
  • On a bookshelf in her room, there was a framed photo of who the detective believes to be Dylann Roof.
  • Above the light switch, there was a photo of Nikolas Cruz.
  • On his laptop, there was background wallpaper of Nikolas Cruz at trial.
  • Another laptop was found in the closet.
  • A Mooresville Schools-issued Chromebook was found in Trinity’s backpack.
  • An iPhone that was located on the bookshelf and an iPhone that was on the top shelf of the closet.
  • Trinity’s backpack had three buttons on it, each depicting a photo of one of the three mass murderers.
  • Three notebooks were also found in Trinity’s backpack. Each one depicted swastikas, the words “kill,” “bang,” “I hate you all DIE DIE DIE” and other obscenities.
  • In Timothy Shockley’s room, there were AR-15 magazines and a box of 50 .40 caliber rounds.
  • A soft armor vest was located in the front room closet.
During an interview with investigators, Shockley mentioned having a mental breakdown at school Feb. 11 due to his mother’s recent passing from a drug overdose.

Shockley ended up skipping two classes and tried to talk to one of his teachers about it. The teacher was not available to talk, so he went to the school counselor.

When asked about his use of social media, Shockley said he would talk about hurting people “because of the rage he feels.” However, he did not mean it at all.

Authorities said Shockley asked for mental health resources multiple times and was denied them by her father, Timothy Shockley because he didn’t believe in “mental health treatment.”

Karma has arrived Boys and it's just getting started.

We tolerated President Obama for 8 years and kept quiet. Here is my issue with the whole, “let us all be a United States again” that we heard from President Biden. For the last 4+ years, the Democrats have gone and scorched earth. You have salted the fields and now you want to grow crops. The problem is that 75+ million of us have memories longer than a hamster.
We remember the women’s march (vagina hats
😂
and all) the day after the inauguration.
We remember the 4 years of attacks and impeachments.
We remember “not our president” and the “Resistance…”
We remember Maxine Walters telling followers to harass us in restaurants.
We remember the President's spokesperson being kicked out of a restaurant.
We remember hundreds of Trump supporters physically attacked.
We remember Trump supporters getting Doxed and fired from their jobs.
We remember riots and looting.
We remember “a comedian” holding up the President’s severed head.
We remember a play in Central Park paid with public funding, showing the killing of President Trump.
We remember Robert de Niro yelling “F" Trump” at the Tony’s and getting a standing ovation.
We remember Nancy Pelosi tearing up the State of the Union Address.
We remember the total in-the-tank move on the mainstream media.
We remember the non-stop and live fact-checking on our President and his supporters.
We remember non-stop in-your-face lies and open cover-ups from the media.
We remember the President and his staff being spied on.
We remember five Senators shot on a ballfield.
We remember every so-called comedy show turned into nothing but a Trump hate fest.
We remember 95% negative coverage in the news.
We remember the state governors asking for and getting everything they asked for and then blaming Trump for their problems.
We remember a Trump top aide verbally assaulted in two DC restaurants.
We remember people banging on the Supreme Court doors.
We remember that we were called every name in the book for supporting President Trump.
We remember that Hollywood said they would leave after Trump was elected but they stayed.
We remember being called Nazis
We remember being called Deplorables
We remember being called Fascists
We remember our sitting President calling us "garbage" and Kamala (and the media) trying to tell us to "get past it because Biden doesn't matter anymore"
This list is endless, but you get the idea. My friends will be my friends, but a party that has been on the attack for 4 long years does not get a free pass with me.
Join me in supporting President Trump as he gets America back on track.
