I just find this discussion fascinating. But I am curious about your thoughts on seat belt laws, speed limits, OSHA, vehicle registration requirements, voting regualtions, vaccinations requirements, smoking regulations, etc....
I think defense at this level is a combination of athleticism, communication and desire. I believe this team has the foundation to be decent defensively.
Xavier Varsity had 45 boys on the squad this year and that number includes the 8 players hurt and sidelined. So at the end of the season, they were fielding a varsity team of 37 available players. Your statement is not accurate.
I think it was a bad game all around for OJ. He also blew the play against the Jet sweep where Wisky scored. The Safety Koerner(sp?) i think it was read it all the way, got blocked and OJ completely missed the read and the tackle.
