    Stanley's performance late in games

Right, like all those bad throws people blamed on "not having enough time."

    Stanley's performance late in games

Wtf did he do that was so clutch against Michigan? Brandon Smith made a miracle catch vs PSU. Wisconsin and Nebraska he made some nice plays late, but again, you don't get to be praised for digging yourself out of your own hole, and in Wisconsin's case he never really did that. If I throw 10...

    Matt Campbell interviewing

Meyer has had an NCAA investigation everywhere he's gone and his constant "head aches" would make anyone realize he isn't in it for more than a few years.

    Who leaves early

IKM just isn't very good. He should probably transfer.

I'm sure he'll get better, too. I can't understand why people in this thread find what I said so inflammatory.

Stanley no better then KF's 6 best QB

    Outstanding commentary.

Stanley no better then KF's 6 best QB

    Twice, actually.

You're right. It's much more reasonable to assume this team practices the deep ball every day at practice. That's why Stanley is so good at it, why the receivers are good at it, and the offensive line gives so much time to throw it, and Iowa runs a deep ball on every possession during games...

I didn't say they didn't practice it. I said they don't usually take shots down the field so they're not going to be throwing long balls every day at practice. If you've seen it, then I'd like to know how many deep balls are thrown.

Running routes is one thing, catching a pass deep down the field going full speed is another. I get the feeling Brian runs his practices to focus on minutia like stance, situation, packages, etc and they rarely do any of the stuff that matters

I'm of the opinion that Brian Ferentz has no business being a coordinator so it fits.

As far as I know he did. But there's two different kinds of skill position gloves: ones with tack for fair to hot weather, and ones that are more porous for cold or rainy weather. I always found that keeping the ball dry was more important than the hands/gloves, though. It doesn't matter what...

Thing is Iowa doesn't throw it down the field enough to warrant the practice needed to make those catches. If only we practiced what we do on the field, then maybe it'd translate.

Stanley no better then KF's 6 best QB

Except Stanley was the reason those 3 games were close to begin with. 8-4 average isn't mind blowing. While I agree that "10-" is not a great argument, Chandler managed the game and did what was needed to complement a great offensive line and defense. Stanley on the other hand needs everyone...

No. That's not what I'm selling.

    Stanley's first half

My narrative? No. I'm saying if your offense can't do shit, then your defense has to play contain and can't be aggressive. That's just common knowledge.

    Give KF credit

When 11 of 14 offensive drives were 4 or fewer plays, and then you blame the defense for time of possession, you might be stupid.

    Stanley's first half

Sorry, I should've made it "fewer than 5 plays" because even on the TDs it was quick. 11 drives were 4 or fewer plays. You can't play fast and furious on defense if that's how long the offense is on the field. And even when they have had the ball for 7 plays (not this game specifically) they'll...
