A bunch of Iowa football facts, numbers, and other junk

Ok, so factually speaking, based on the last 14 seasons: Kirk is good for breaking the 8 win regular season mark once every seven years. Why? Because our recruiting is very average. It is what it is. Doubtful much changes in year #22.

I literally think you need to go outside and play in the yard or something, build a fort, etc...because you literally spend way too much time on these message boards.

A bunch of Iowa football facts, numbers, and other junk

Cmon man, why make excuses for the staff? I can cherry pick numbers all day as well, but facts are facts. Go back 14 years and you’ve got 2 seasons where we eclipsed the 7-8 regular season win mark. Yeah we had a nice run back around 2000-2004, but if you want to occasionally break through the...

You’re obv much more bullish than me on the future. Tell me how you think the next 3 years go.

Ha I wondered how long it would take you to respond. You LITERALLY live on these message boards, huh? Hard to argue with facts though, isn’t it? Kirk is good for 7 or 8 regular season wins. History is history. Let me guess, this next year will be the big one, right?

A bunch of Iowa football facts, numbers, and other junk

Too bad with the way we recruit, 7 or 8 regular season wins is our ceiling except for once a decade. Can’t recruit outside the top 40 consistently and win more than that. It’s been proven time and time again. Kirk, who is drool all over, will get his 7 or 8 regular season wins but that won’t be...

    New Depth Chart out!

I agree, but I’ve given up hoping for change. We will win 7 or 8 regular season games this year. The same as every year. Which will be just enough to once again miss out on competing for a Big Ten title. We just don’t have the horses to compete with the upper level, and honestly, I doubt if we...

Buckle up Hawks, we are going on a freaking awesome years long ride...

Exactly. Stanley is Stanley. He isn’t Tua or Lawrence or an elite QB. His downfield accuracy, especially outside of 20 yards, isn’t good. We also damn near got beat by debbie because Kirk made a terrible call. We lack playmakers. We always have. Kirk is Kirk, he recruits like Kirk always has...

Buckle up Hawks, we are going on a freaking awesome years long ride...

And yet all we have to show for it is another 8 win regular season. Which happens to be Kirk’s ceiling. Water heads like yourself suddenly think we’re making a run at the CFP.

Buckle up Hawks, we are going on a freaking awesome years long ride...

You can’t have a recruiting class 90% full of 5.6 Three Stars and make a run for the CFP Just. Isn’t. Happening. We don’t recruit well enough for that. Kirk doesn’t recruit well enough for that. Do you guys realize we just lost a boatload of All American talent and first rounders and the West...

Buckle up Hawks, we are going on a freaking awesome years long ride...

Anyone who doesn’t tow the company line is a “miserable person - goofer fan, clown fan, debbie fan”. I can’t say I share the optimism. The West now, and moving forward, is harder than it’s ever been. Purdue is getting better. Minnesota is getting better. Nebraska is getting better. All 3...

Stanley will likely be the best b1g QB next year

I feel like our potential is much greater than one DIVISION championship every decade and a half. I think our guys deserve better. Wouldn’t you agree? I think our talent was good enough that we should have had more to show for it. I feel like Kirk, while a very good developer, leaves a lot to be...

Will Phil Steele choose Iowa to win the West?

Another classic WTF reply by Herky (I’m still completely confused by your infatuation with the Trojans?)

Stanley will likely be the best b1g QB next year

I won’t bump it, but I’ll quote your replies and link the thread for you. Just more of your usual sunshine pumping nonsense. One Division title in 15 years. Pathetic. Kirk’s time should have been up years ago.

Will Phil Steele choose Iowa to win the West?

They have literally finished within 5-10 spots of us, several times. Also, you’re a really weird dude, because I have zero clue why you keep bringing up Southern California and such... just odd

Will Phil Steele choose Iowa to win the West?

Ok, great. No clue what the hell that has to do with literally anything. They are neck and neck with us every year. We get to convince kids to come to a wonderful University, college town and top notch football program in the premier conference in America. They are fighting to get kids to...

Will Phil Steele choose Iowa to win the West?

Campbell at Iowa would be something fun to watch. He’d recruit the hell outta it here. Not fair to compare what he’s done at that dump in Ames vs the luxury of coaching in Iowa City. He’ll move on from there soon enough. He’s a heck of a good young coach.

Will Phil Steele choose Iowa to win the West?

99% of everything in that post is truth. You’re nuts if you think we can continue to whip debbie’s ass with the way Kirk recruits and the way the West is shaping up. They hired that bum Riley and we beat them down, but unfortunately their coach now is light years better. I’d take Frost here too...

Will Phil Steele choose Iowa to win the West?

I don’t care what kind of human being he is. Lots of these coaches are quality guys. I want a winner, someone who will realize our ceiling is higher than one division title in 15 years. Kirk won’t. He hasn’t. He’s been here forever and we’ve seen his stuff. It’s been a fun ride, but we know year...

Will Phil Steele choose Iowa to win the West?

I would absolutely LOVE to see what someone like Josh Huepel (sp?) would do with our budget/situation in a premier conference. Both him and Cambell will go on to have much more successful careers than Crusty Kirk. Either of those two would do great things at Iowa. We’d be lucky to have either...
