    State Title Games

Waukee was much slower and much less quick than Ankeny. Sandfort is a nice player, but his athleticism will limit his ceiling at a Big10 level, IMO. Probably worth an offer and could be a solid roll player, but will need better players around him. Not sure what to say about DeVries. That was an...

    OT: Rutgers Last Four In

Please use the sarcasm font. Just in case you meant this, I will counter by saying they could lose 85-10 and they are still in. T5th in this years B10 is a lock with a 20 win season. Not to mention #32 NET and Bracket matrix having them as a 9 right now.

    Illinois Coaching Staff

I probably shouldn’t respond to a post I couldn’t handle reading about 5-6 responses. From every interview and press conference I have always been more than impressed with Underwood. He says the right things anyway, and is always very complimentary towards other coaches and kids. Other...

    JW

Last 6 games: 14/53(26%)from the field. 3/21(14%) from 3. The book is out. JW has to get better, but in his defense I think we finished the year with the most physical stretch of the season. We will see if CJ and JW can come back next year with the strength it takes to play against teams...

OT - Illinois has punchable faces

Seems weird that every team we lose to has so many punchable faces according to some.

Lunardi Bracketology has IOWA in, right now

UNI will not be playing anyone in the tournament.

March 13: IOWA ends up #34 in the NET Rankings with 8 Quad 1 Wins, 5 Quad 2 Wins. 2 Quad 3 LOSSES

As always, there seems to be a chasm between us and the team ahead of us when we get a quad 1 win. And there are always 42 teams right behind us when we lose. How in the heck is UNI 2 spots behind Iowa? If they win the Valley tournament they may finish ahead of us. That seems crazy with the...

    ****Purdue @ Iowa Game Thread****

This JW slump is getting excessive. He’s got 1 more game to get this figured out before tournament time.

    Xavier Foster

Hoping to get a glimpse of Xavier at The Well? Not happening this year. Well, unless you get a ticket next to him. Osky bows out against Pella.

    Big D win!

West Virginia is 3-7 in the last 10. Who are those 3 wins you ask? All at home against ISU, Kansas State, Okie St. A quad 2 and (2) quad 3 wins. I would sign up to play them to get to the sweet 16 today.

    Izzo is a big baby

Agree. I was kind of happy with ESPN for a change. They were calling Izzo out and showing replay after replay of him acting like an enraged lunatic for no reason. Much better than the normal nut hugging they do while talking about Izzo, while simultaneously ripping on Fran for his demeanor.

    OT: Meanwhile in Cedar Falls.....

Agree. Makes me so mad when kids from Iowa that I watch play in HS, stay at Iowa colleges, at a non-rival college and play well. So relieved they are getting what they deserve. Whatever makes the Hawkeye season better for people I guess.

Gotta help the NET and NCAA seed

He’s saying in other years the top seeds have been stronger. They would not be a 1 seed in most years, but yes, they are a 1 seed this year. Or at least that is what I think he’s saying.

    Garza's FT Struggles This Year

What I find interesting is that his swish to miss ratio seems skewed. I have 0 facts to back this up, but he seems to swish a very high % as compared to his FT%. It’s like it’s a perfect FT or it doesn’t go in. I drink a lot during games, so if I am making this up a apologize. :)

March 13: IOWA ends up #34 in the NET Rankings with 8 Quad 1 Wins, 5 Quad 2 Wins. 2 Quad 3 LOSSES

That can explain Iowa’s ranking not changing. Seems odd that OSU can play a higher ranked team than Oregon, both on the road, and both lose. The team playing the tougher opponent drops from 17-21, while Oregon stays at 19.

March 13: IOWA ends up #34 in the NET Rankings with 8 Quad 1 Wins, 5 Quad 2 Wins. 2 Quad 3 LOSSES

Ohio State drops 4 spots losing at Iowa. Oregon drops 0 spots losing at #47.

Our NET ranking today should spark some interesting conversation. NET rankings -:confused::confused:

CJ 'not ruled out' for Ohio St game

Sniff probably wasn’t the right term, but my point is there are a lot of excellent college basketball players such as Uthoff that never get very far or much of a fair shake.
