I would think that’s not a good strategy for Iran.
Well, Boys I set the line of Biden being the worst president in History on getting us into another ground war on the other side of the world.
It was one thing for him to officially not accomplish shit while there, he sunk to the 25th percentile with Russia/ Ukraine, Afghan evac, and frankly being laughed away as he has told Isreal to calm down.
Now that we have deployed another likely endless war, putting our guys in harms way, he is officially the worst president the united states has ever had, and frankly, he is separating himself from 2nd with every day.
The most powerful nation in the world is rudderless.

To the Iranians it's BOTH. They don't make the distinction you are, but still, under the rules of logic either makes the definition applicable.
Yes, targetting the political leadership is assassination. It's quite literally the meaning of the word. It doesn't just mean murder, it's a specific type of murder.
England and Germany were 'going at each other' in WW2, and people still recognize the British effort to kill Hitler was an assassination plot.

If the docs I saw were the entirety of the leak it wasn't really anything regarding planning, just a US intel assessment of Israeli activities.
The language really suggested that the DoD doesn't know what they're up to.
