#10 Notre Dame at Texas

It is ridiculous. And their "affiliation" is with the ACC and yet they don't play FSU, Clemson or North Carolina this year. All the heat Iowa takes for missing certain teams in the Big 10 yet we have no control over it. ND has total control. So only 3 away games and skip the best ACC teams, play Nevada and the service academies, and still get a seat?! I really want ND to get left out to force them to join a conference or the Big 10 or SEC champ to be left out and ND in the playoff to bring a change.

Any team that has 9 home games and doesn't play in a conference is a JOKE !

7 = 9?

The schedule isn't brutal, but they do play:
@ Texas
vs Mighigan State
vs Stanford
vs Miami (FL)
@ Southern Cal

Even playing mid to bad ACC teams and service academies, that is not an easy schedule.

A lot of ND bias on this board. Their QB looked like the best pocket passer in college football. They are very legit.

BS. Lost to unranked Texas and Miami is no good and saw how wonderful USC is. And Stanford and MSU with first year QB's at home. Come on guys. They only have 3 away games and skip Clemson, FSU and North Carolina in their conference "affiliation." They claim their "independence" allows them to schedule "tough." Yeah right.

Give me one other POWER 5 team that has 9 home games, I'm waiting.

No the ND bias is because they make their schedule. How many times do they play back to back road games? Well pretty hard now since they lost their first road game and play their last game of the year on the road against USC who just lost by 50. Are u kidding me? Who is the other road game NC St? And yet their fans and the Golic clan applauds their independence and place at the table.

10/1 and 10/8.

@ Syracuse
@ NC STATE

The guy is making up 9 home games. I get that people don't want to give them any credit. Objectively, their schedule is tougher than ours. Adding a Championship game would make it close.

They only have 3 true road games. They play 2 neutral site games that will feel like home games given how well ND fans travel and how many fans around country. They ought to be forced to join a conference to get into playoffs but the fact is that the playoff committee would love ND to go to playoff as independent give the $$$ they would bring.
