Clearly they lack reverence for the right things when they put treasures like the Country breaded pork loin and tasty tacos beneath the Italians.

Greek food is good, but not #1.
I’d rank Italian #1 as it runs a full range of dishes between northern and southern Italy.
Thai has to be in the Top 5.
Croatia and Serbian are very good - I’d rate them higher.

Mediterranean food is exceptional and widely known for its well balanced approach.
Peru is way too low on this list. It far surpasses the United States and I am sure several others. It is a top 5 contender. Very diverse ecosystem there, all kinds of different stuff; they have like 4,000 types of potato.
France is another that is rated criminally low. Excellent food, classic prep, wide range from cheap steak frites to Michelin 3* French Haute. Global fusion concepts all over one of the world’s most important cities. Hilarious to see Indonesia ahead of it. GTFO.
The food in Cuba is absolutely terrible. I have spent a few weeks there total and if it wasn’t at a very expensive restaurant in Havana, it was hardly edible. I had one great farm to table meal on a farm in vinales, the rest was disgusting.

But we’re going by cuisine. Cuban food can be absolutely wonderful.
The fact that the country is a disaster and they’re unable to maintain quality isn’t really a reflection on that.
The meal in vinales was a top 10 meal for me. Traditional Cuban, braised pork and beef, yuca, fresh salad with tomatoes and peppers. Rice and beans.
I want to go back to the place and see if it as good—when I ate it, I was on day four and had not had a good meal in that time. I ate 3 plates in a family style setup.
one of the grossest things I’ve had anywhere was at this high end place in Havana that catered to Euro trash. Mother effers brought out a cheesecake for desert. Take a huge bite and if was a blue cheese cake. Utterly grotesque and I damn near threw up on the table.
Most people relate to Greek food as a diner, but it’s quite diverse.
I had a friend whose husband owned a Greek restaurant in NY. The food was amazing.
In France, the food is good everywhere, it doesn’t have to be a 5*.
Good Indian food is great.
A lot depends on where one eats the food.
I’d never say that Brazilian food is great, unless you’re talking about the food at the great restaurants in São Paulo, Lebanese, Greek, Italian, Swiss, Norwegian, German, Japanese, etc.
