I think Happel is high enough in weight to not be a factor in getting the others, he could easily be 149. The two that have verbaled are a year behind what is ideal as they would have to both go as true freshman. Lee is the same class but likely good enough to go as a true freshman. Yates could get a redshirt and then step in as could Suriano. The money that was being used for Telford, Evans, Dziewa, Moore etc. is available for the 2015 class. Who knows how much is left from that, I would hope we did not spend a ton as #1 145 Kemmerer the only real big name guy with Turk #9 at 145 and Wilke #6 at 195 being the only other guys ranked at the end of the year by intermat. We have Cooper, Burak, Grothus, Klapp and Rhoads coming off the books next year. The following year Gilman, Clark, Brooks, Meyer and Carton come off.
If we don't get a 174 (Hall) then we are looking at Paddock or Gunther as the future there following Meyer. We need one or even two at 184 or 197 for sure as we are thin there. We need some $$$ for Bradley if he comes.
For 2016 class we have Marinelli 165/174 (looks like a 165 to me) Young 157-174 committed. Other things on the table: Hall 174/184 (174 most likely), Happel 141/149 Rudy Yates 125-141, Suriano 125-141, unknown 184/197 pounder, Bradley (not sure what class he will end up if he comes but 2 behind Stoll would be nice). First off the coaches need to decide are they going to go all out for Hall or Lee or neither? Both is not likely an option. I would like to add Happel, Yates and Bradley for sure and if Hall is the direction you choose then pour the rest into him. No Hall then look at 184/197.
2017- Renteria and Mejia are committed. Other things on the table: Lee 125-141, a 184/197, How you chose the 2016 class will dictate targets beyond Renteria and Mejia. Keep in mind they are verbals only.
