Why did you edit the content of his post to make it say something he didn't say?

What did ya fall out of your hunting stand and get a branch stuck in your ass?
Just like you these are just fan based thoughts and mine come with a bit of experience in the upper weights. Kem is good enough and strong enough to go with anyone at 184 especially if there was ideas brewing about this, also Nelson is wrestling better at 174 then Wilson or Assad at 184 plain and simple. We are talking about two weight classes no more.

So any time you are ready, you can stop walking sideways and pull that maple branch out your arse.
Stick to your guns on this Grip.

Crazy time of the year for me so I was unable to respond right away. But my post about Kem going 184 was just a thought. Part of me wants him to go 184 as I feel it’s our biggest hole. But here’s the thing his best chance at a title is 174. Tough call for the coaches I am sure it has crossed their minds but they have a plan and I trust it.

184 was our biggest hole last year and we won the NCAA Championship, with an injured Alex Marinelli. Kemerer and Eireman both came up short, which could change this year (the Kemerer match specifically was a real head scratcher).

I have faith that a rusty Abe Assad will rebound by years end, but that's entirely up to him. He needs to get in gear and post a resume for seeding purposes, and let the Myles Wilson experiment end now.

I would find it extremely hard to believe the Coaching Staff in their wildest dreams have considered moving Kemerer to 184 in-season.

Terry Brands is on the Coaching Staff, and he was directly involved in a match with 2x National Champion Jeff Prescott who was struggling to hold 118 lbs and wanted to move to 126. The previous year (?) Prescott beat Chad Zaputil 14-0 in the NCAA Finals at 118 lbs. (OW that year at NCAA's as well I believe).

The result - Terry Brands THROTTLED Jeff Prescott and sent him packing back to 118 lbs. where he beat Zaputil again in the NCAA Finals.

If I remember those circumstances Terry Brands most assuredly does, and their mindset is what is best for the individual is best for the team. Unless Michael Kemerer is having a hard time holding 174 (doubtful), what is best for the individual is Kemerer wrestling 174 and that's a complete no-brainer IMO.

I am a huge TB fan but we are getting more coach speak from him this year than I remember in previous years. He spends 5 minutes each press conference on the line up without really saying anything (“This may be the best line up.?”). I assume he is managing a lot of unknowns at this point.

If Terry went down to 118 he would have throttled Prescott also, there is nobody at 184 Kem could not beat.
That said I don’t believe this will happen I just said it “could” be the best lineup with Nelson at 174. Unless Assad gets on the gitty up and goes off.
The way I see it is Kem could place 1-5 at 184 and NB could go 4-8 at 174.
if we get no points at 184 and Kem takes less then 1st with no bonus well there ya go.
I am just spitballing, I am not saying this will happen!
