Looks like Midlands might decide 2018 for Lee. I know Suriano will be there and AA sleeper Sebastian Rivera from Northwestern. Who else will be contenders?

I was pretty excited for Lee this year until I put him in your wrestler comparison tool and see it has him getting whooped by most of the field this year with some by majors and tech falls

I thought you were not supposed to take pictures of practice. At least that is what I have been told when I go down for practice. Cool picture though. It might be that I am just plain jealous that I wasn't there to see it.

Awesome. A trip out to Iowa City to take in a few days of practice is on my bucket list. I'm hoping to do so next season. I've been to 7 AFC Championship Games, a Super Bowl, lots of big auto races, and probably some other big events I don't remember. I have zero desire to go watch any of that now. What you describe above, I could sit and watch for hours, if not days...
I would put my money on Spencer and not have to think twice.

Mildlands keeps getting weaker every year. No Nebraska this year. Michigan the year before and I'm sure others.

Not sure the “every year” part is true. I believe it was on the uptick the past several.

He beat a bunch of backups this weekend. I think he will do well at Midlands but let’s be a little realistic here.
Spencer lost to him once when he was in jr high and has since beaten him. No way Suriano Takes down and won’t be able to ride Spencer.

This was 4-5 years ago. A lot changes. Will be a great match but won't be surprised if either guy wins.
Not hesitating to put your money on Spencer Lee is very realistic. He's seeing far more than a "bunch of backups" everyday in the room. Lots of NCAA medals and a World Silver in that crew....
If N.S. gets Lee at midlands its because he is fully healed and might have some in shape over Lee...Lee will beat him at NCAA if they meet again and at the Big Ten tourney.
Not to rain on anyone's parade at Iowa Rasslin, and I could be dead wrong, but it seems that of the two who have headgear on, it ain't a Brands but Lee, correct?
Spencer's lose the knee brace and put one of the Brands start wearing it?
Also, I think I'd take who rolls with Brands/ McD/ Eustice / Gilman / man could go forever with these slashes over Goodale and don't even know any other slashes in the Rutgers room.

He's not able to. That's what the hoochy does to his eyesight----it impairs it.
And that counts for how many points come Nationals? Believe me I think Lee will win multiple NCAA titles but let’s let him wrestle someone before we declare him the next greatest thing
He’s wrestled and beaten a lot of someones over the last five years. Does pretty well against the field.
I understand your skepticism and think we will all get plenty of opportunity to judge with our own eyes, fair enough. But I can also see it the other way, from the people who feel they have seen plenty of him blowing through opponents on an international stage at an inhuman pace, like an electrocuted cheetah. Kind of like what we saw again on Saturday. You have to admit, it’s pretty energizing as a Hawks fan.....

Sorry, but whom one "rolls with" isn't a direct causation line to victory.
The Wisconsin wrestler was not a backup - he's a two time NCAA qualifier that has wrestled tight matches with some of the better 125 pounders. But thanks for reminding us that Lee hasn't scored any NCAA tournament points - a lot of us were confused about that.
