That’s the total at the Taco Bell for just me right now. It’s been quite a while and they have some new items that I feel like I need to try. Steak garlic fries? At Taco Bell? Uhhh… sure. A couple other things and boom! $19.74. No chance I get through half of it. But hey…that’s where we are right now.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Thanks MAGA!

I paid $15 yesterday for medium (like 7”) sub, a small fountain drink, and a tiny bag of chips at Firehouse subs. I couldn’t believe it.

Same for us, plus controlling calories and nutrition. We actually do pretty well financially but it is matter of principle and health.
Same here. I eat much better at home than when we go out. I also don’t get people complaining about the cost of going out. If you can’t afford it then don’t go out. You can apply the cost of things to damn near everything in that sense but going out is one of the very few things that would fit the unneeded “luxury”. When we were younger and still raising our three kids we rarely went out due to cost and when we did it was a special occasion…

Jesus. Restaurants bitch about inflation and rising food/input costs but that is probably about $3 in food costs for them. Everything they get is bulk wholesale pricing, and the soda is probably a dime, assuming it was a fountain drink.

Well if you ordered twice as much as you can eat, the total price is a bit irrelevant.

When restaurants try to keep food costs to roughly a third of costs, a 1.00 increase in food costs would raise retail by 3.00. So when any food costs lead to that 3X increase in retail, it’s easy to see why they have jumped

I believe TB advertises meals with a couple tacos and crunch wrap supreme with drink or something similar. Sounds like you had the drink hungry attack late last night. How much did you spend on drinks out prior to your TB food run?

Went to East Dubuque for grandsons' archery shoot today
Stopped at Wendys next to the bridge crossing the Mississippi river.
I ordered a single/wfries and drink.
Grandson ordered a spicy chicken with fries and drink
Son ordered some kind of lemonade drink.
$28.67.
Getting out of hand for fast food.

Do you not have an Izzo’s Illegal Burrito or something similar nearby? I’ve never spent more than $10-$12 there, and that’s a single dish shared by two people.

They have a $7 deal…single cheeseburger and spicy chicken sandwich. It’s not that hard to get deals on food if you try or use their apps to order.

Fountain drinks have become absurd. Like you said, it probably costs them a dime and they are charging 3 bucks a pop.

I took kids to chick fil an other day and between us three it was over 35 dollars.

Exactly why we eat at home 95 percent of the time
4 of us and a 2yr old last night. 2 club meals, 2 nuggets, a mac-n-cheese, and a milk. $48.XX even after first responder discount.

Refusing to pay the exorbitant amount everyone charging unless its a necessity.

I spent $125 on dinner last night and $82 at the rooftop bar after. I’m contributing to the inflation problem. Prices are sticky because dipshits like me pay for it.

This.

Sellers are charging what the market will bear. Don't like the prices? Stop buying.

Just ate at Wendy’s with the two for $7.00 deal. Had my own water and didn’t get the fries. I think Wendy’s has the best fries since McDonald’s fries suck due to the oil change they cokes them in.

I know, csb.

Also, love the points program from CFA to get free food and sometimes get free sandwich from them for being a customer. Love their breakfast chicken biscuit.
